Using the knowledge that they are Alchemical symbols that Rondstat helped us out with...

Original message details are unavailable.

[Moon-ish Symbol] > Spirit > Knowledge > [F-ish Symbol] > [R-ish Symbol] > Fortitude > [Circle+Dot Symbol] > [Moon-ish Symbol] > [...*

...becomes more like...

[Moon/Silver/Memories?]
> Spirit > Knowledge >
[Jupiter/Tin/Growth)
>
[???]
> Fortitude >
[Sun/Gold/Power]
>
[Moon/Silver/Memories?]
> [...]

...I'm pretty sure that the text is just complete gibberish at this point, but this star may be something. It does really seem to be the cycles of the universe (or something), but I have no idea what those symbols really mean.

Wow ty Rond and Capt, I think that is a great find with no doubt! :)

I hadn't expect us to find options that could fit so well so quickly, but Bik and growth makes a lot of sense in the very least c:

edit: updated the first post with that info!

Actually, if you're right about the meaning of those things, we could say it's not complete gibberish at all.

Memories > Spirit > Knowledge > Growth > ??? > Fortitude > Power > Memories.

It's not the cycle of the universe, it's more like the cycle of the soul. In the book we find about the Schism and the Human soul, it implies that the soul of a person isn't strengthened through faith, but through experience, knowledge, growth, strength of character, etc. When Sliske is trying to steal our soul, he mentions that he needs to do something with our memories.. Knowledge, memories, fortitude, power, growth.. it's all connected to the human soul.
It would seem these drawings actually fortify what we already know.. Sliske wants our soul for.. something.

Also, the R symbol you're talking of.. Do you know what the symbol for Retrograde Motion in Astrology looks like? Is it that? If so, would most likely mean the ??? you're looking at could be said as Motion/movement/rotation. Just a thought

Sorry on the late response

That makes a lot of sense Sepulchre, especially considering that in our previous line of thought Bik is supposedly coming later than Ful&Jas, I just noticed :P

Oh and nice catch on that last symbol too, although I don't know where to fit Motion/movement/rotation with one of the elder gods aspect, to me it kinda connects to Mah as she never went to fully sleep, but I might be going way off there..

Another thing is, does Nomad get involved in this as well? Depending on whether you spare or kill him in Nomad's Elegy, Sliske still takes him away. If you kill Nomad, does this mean that Sliske gets a ton of normal souls straightaway while sparing him means Sliske gets to milk them out slowly while keeping Nomad's own soul in the process? Icthlarin says to us that Nomad had a rich and powerful soul that had great potential to do good things and be one of Gielinor's great heroes. What could happen if Sliske had that and applied it to his experiment/ritual? Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

If that's true, I kinda wish I killed Nomad. Sliske just gained another weapon... as if he didn't have enough of those.

Something that stood out to me was the symbol in the *center* of the 7-pointed star - it's "ren", the Chinese character for "person".

Why an Eastern language, I don't know, especially with the rest of the symbols referencing astrology and the occult. Maybe a connection to the Eastern Lands and Xau-tak? Or perhaps just an easy shorthand for someone to be at the center of the cycle of the soul (or just the soul itself being at the center).

This is a really interesting thread and I wish I had more to add!
