Personally, I think Juna eats too many strange mushrooms. There are a few things where she has jumped to conclusions on. She hears lots of stories and what she knows is based on them and frankly I think half of what she hears is wildly inaccurate or it is being misinterpreted or embellished. The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

she's very old... and when I say old I mean she's been in the game for a long time and a lot of her dialogue won't make sense anymore
of modern events though, yes, she's fairly misinformed

So according to what Voya quoted from Mod Jack:

There's no real way of knowing for certain who the 2 Guardians of Guthix are that we don't know, if they don't have a special assignment in particular. Not unless they tell us.
A
World Guardian
must learn to find
Balance
in themselves.
Only then can they
Control
themselves and forge their own
Fate.

I'm still of the opinion that Smuggly is the most likely candidate.

But while we're on the topic of GOGs: Grimgnash, TokTz-Ket-Dill and the Phoenix were at one point intended to be Guardians of Guthix. Obviously that's no longer the case, but still interesting to note.

So, what do you guys think about the rest of the thread? Haha.

About the Queens and the Season Tree, etc etc?
if the queens are GoGs... I would only put them down as one GoG... but I dont think they are

a lot of the lore about them seems like it still sees Guthix as thi nigh-omnipotent world creator almost... and most of the lore that talked like that isn't canon anymore... as in... people remember saying it, but it's not true anymore

Perhaps Guthix sent on of his guardians to the Eastern Lands to help keep balance there.
Unlikely, but it would explain why we've never seen them.

The question is how we replace the fallen Guardians, eventually someone is going to pick them off. Maybe the real question we should be asking isn't who are the hidden guardians, but did Guthix leave a way for us to replace and elevate new ones. At a guess, I'd say there is. And in all likelihood the places in question are already being guarded by GoGs. The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,

How in the world? Aren't TokTz-Ket-Dills a species, rather than a unique entity?

Is it possible for the old guy at Barrows to be a Guardian? He has some ties to Jennica from Summer's End, so he's obviously VERY old, and those quests take place in the Wilderness, involving a small farming family... And wasn't the Stone of Jas in or around the Barrows at some point? Pretty sure it was in Morytania anyway, and there must be a reason for Sliske to have "purchased" that land from Drakan.

Temple at Senntisten makes it pretty clear the Strange Old Man is working for Zaros/Sliske.

Original message details are unavailable.
Strange Old Man: At last, the time comes. I have been expecting your arrival since before you were born.
Player: You're not speaking gibberish any more, what is going on?
Strange Old Man: After all this time, I'm not of the 'It will wait another day' school of thought. You can ask our employer what is going on.
Strange Old Man: For now, get into the Barrows, show the brothers who is boss, and recover the icon.
Strange Old Man: They will not hand it over without a good beating, though. So batter the lot of them, to be sure.
Player: Right, but I always thought you were just some mad old bloke with a spade obsession.
Strange Old Man: I do my best to look useless; if only they knew the truth. it would chill their hearts.
Strange Old Man: Anyway, who knows who is listening? I'd best get back to what I do for now.
Player: Dig, I guess?

Player: Hello.
Strange Old Man: You have it! Oh, the master will be delighted.
Player: Are you talking about the icon I got from the Barrows?
Strange Old Man: Indeed, indeed! Run to him, run as fast as you can!
Player: Run back to Azzanadra? Why?
Strange Old Man: No reason, I just like to make people run places.
Strange Old Man: And how they run! You have to get the voice right, though.
Player: I see.
Strange Old Man: It can get a bit lonely here, I suppose. Still, there's always digging!
