Personally I think Oreb is dead and not coming back. Remember, where we encountered him, in the underworld.

Technically, going by the book of the underworld, the river noumenon is the threshold between the underworld and the land of the living, not the underworld itself (which is past the gates). Of course, souls seem to drift near the threshold, and the river connects to the afterlife, so that doesn't really invalidate what you said.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

At the moment Oreb seems like one of the most likely candidates for Sliske's master. We know Sliske wants to save himself from oblivion, so it makes sense he'd contact someone with considerable knowledge of the subject. It also explains howSliske could have one of his books and knowledge of his theories. The fire warrior's presence in The Temple of Ikov might explain how he knew of the staff. -

So Oreb retained his body

I don't think he did, actually. Remember, his skeleton is still at the ourania altar. I think it's more likely he stole another body, or possibly built one, by transfering his soul.

Hmmmm. What if his plan is to posess Saradomin himself? With his image and power he'd have supreme power over Terragard.
