2) I agree with Evil Dylan, it gives him 1 more piece of leverage over us. (quest ends, he gives us the location and means of getting back our soul piece back.) Again, assuming he didn't do anything or experiments to it while he had it.

I actually meant it more in the sense that, at the Endgame, it's entirely possible that the winning god might decide it's time to take Sliske out of the picture. World Guardian powers would certainly assist in that regard.
Particularly relevant for if Sliske decides to pull a trick regarding the stone, which generally means an unhappy winner.

Perhaps this is contributing, in the final Mega May investigation, despite how comedic it's meant to be, the World Guardian needs to eat a cabbage in order to help save the world, I really should have read the dialogue but I figured it would be kinda like the other comedic stories we've gotten this month, but long story short whatever the World Guardian does won't work.

What stood out to me is the fact that the Quartermaster, whom you speak to in this actually asks you "are you sure you're the World Guardian?" to me that just seems like straight foreshadowing despite how innocent it could be. That being said, Meg's cases did relate to Kindred Spirits, so I wouldn't call it a stretch.

I think his words are being taken too seriously, he's saying a little bit of the world Guardian essence is gone, he means our soul, not the power, but I do like this theory, but I do think his word is being taken a bit too serious.
There is also the way Raven spoke in the Lore FC when we mentioned about Sliske taking part our soul.
"Oh Sliske has a part of the World Guardian's soul? Well I'm sure that can't lead to anything terrible."

Why would he say World Guardian instead of player? Why the obvious ominous foreshadowing? This is Raven we're talking about, everything he says like this is blatant spoilers mired in subtlety.
The only thing he could want our soul for would be to either power something that needs a soul, or for something that is special about our soul.. that being that we're the World Guardian.
A
World Guardian
must learn to find
Balance
in themselves.
Only then can they
Control
themselves and forge their own
Fate.
