Well gold, i meant compared to last year when we had a full explanation of the unvierse, details on iaia, whole time lapses of a saradomin war and like a whole hour of Q+A, this years segment did feel rather underwhelming. Likely due to the fact with them only doing 1 set of streams instead of 2 like last year, they had to rush everything through in a single hour

The whole idea of hopping between what is now known to be completely different planets on the other side of the universe has indeed been very inconsistent. I get using teleport runes but when you can just walk into a cave and end up on another world, there needs to be more explanation. Also if there is some portal in a cave to leng as you say, could be possible its still there for us to use in the future? =P

The whole guy walking thing i just dont get where they could go with it. Is there some story or whatever they're taking inspiration from? I say it was across the whole planet cus they made note of the path being perfectly straight as far as the eye can see. Sure it could turn eventually but its still rather odd. Also the point that the walking guy seems to be in like a trance state and cant be stopped or interrupted is something to take note of. Question ofcourse being who is it, why is he doing this and what could have made him like this

Its not that surprising to me to hear of settlements on leng, we know there was indeed life in the previous universe so its reasonable to assume there was something there. I've got my own theories about the structure of leng having a global ocean under its ice (from analyzing real life icy moon structures) so its quite possible theres still aquatic life under the ice

Also where did it say anything about this guy being related to the penance king stuff? I've been reading the lore books from there and i dont see anything leng related

The shadow realm is clearly very different to any other realm or plane cus its not a physical place of its own but seems to be just another layer to other existing places. The fact that unlike all other planes/realms this realm is actively spreading from one place up does tell me it wasnt naturally there, so the question is what is making it and whats causing it to spread. Since they're making a point to say these giant shadow snakes are thriving in the deepest part of it (presumably where the origin of the shadow realm is) it does seem they very much they're connected to do it. Perhaps a queen/king leviathan or maybe it is something to do with xau tak or something?

I cant remember where i read about the dark beasts lore, been trying to look it up. Yes a "darker dimension" is rather vague but i remember reading it and thinking "this sounds like the shadow realm or something", need to find that book again. If zaros didnt use a leviathan to make his shadow stone but some weaker creature, it is possible he used 1001 dark beasts for it if they did come from there

As for iaia, you have to use some deductive reasoning to pin point it. Zaros first says iaia is in one of the lower planes, and from last year we know the lower planes are the old universes leftovers. We also know vampyrium, infernus and leng are other lower worlds and these are named as the blood, smoke and ice "runes", this leaves only shadow left (unless your counting wrath/miasmic which are now under question). Iaia has no visible stars cus last year we learnt the world has a VERY thick cloud cover, meaning the world is very dark with little sunlight, very fitting for a world of shadows. And finally the dragonkin seem to be related in some part to the ilujanka (i theorised a sister clan), so this again places iaia as one of the old universes worlds so would logically make it the shadow world most likely

It's not really a direct connection to the penance king himself. He's the father of Aesa Fellsdottir, the author behind the Penance lorebooks. Notice how her last name is Fellsdottir, or in other words daughter of Fell. The Author of the Leng book is Fell Arnessen.

https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/The_shadow_realm There is this book from OSRS that claims they have a natural affinity for shadows, which is helpful when trying to probe into the Shadow Realm.

I have noticed your kind does tend to blindly stumble forward towards danger simply because it exists. What is your word for that?
- We call it being a hero.

Oh, here are the actual books from stage so you don't have to rely on a wiki. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O6e7kGKatr6mebquN9Xg0wh-bxAA4HTdk1OzrR2h6bk/edit -

Been thinking about it and i just remembered the riftsplitter demon boss in dungeoneering opens up portals to presumably different worlds. The flame and shadow portal can be reasonably identified but his miasma portal always did stump me as to which world that was. I had always just lumped it into the death rune world as poison but if they're saying miasma is now a separate world of its own, that would clear this up

I suppose we should now consider miasma as a newly identified runic world in the dark planes. From the name and effect from the riftsplitter demon it seems to be a toxic world filled with poisonous fog/mist (the miasma)

With this in mind i'm still looking for answers to my other questions. Those being why did zaros skip over this planet/element when making his power stones. And it still leaves the question of the wrath rune being another dark world lingering around
