So with reset today we got some #LoreinMTX where The Queen of Ashes took one of the Nihil from Freneskae and morphed them and sent them to Gielinor to collect embers.

This has a lot of new lore to it.

1)First off this implies that the Queen of Ashes could be Tier 2. As far as we can tell the nihil are non-sapient life, yet this one is. This would allow her to morph it enough for it to become sapient. But if this isn't the case this goes into the next section.

2)This nihil is described as one of the orginals, and Zaros could've made a few of them smarter before backing off. We know Nex was just an abnormality that Zaros took a liking to once he was done with the Nihil.

3)This is more evidence that Elidinis is the Queen of Ashes. Within the past year or 2 jagex said that they had plans for her and didn't want her to be someone who disappeared in morning due to her husband's death. With Tumeken being the sun god that could easily lead to a fire comparision, but where does this nihil fit in. How many people know about Freneskae? Zaros, Zamorak, the Mahjarrat, Seren, and wait for it....Amascut and Icthlarin. Either of the last 2 could've easily have told Elidinis of Freneskae specifically Amascut's run in with Mah. Long after Tumeken's and Zaros's death and after she took up the mantle as the Queen of Ashes, I could see her going to Freneskae to investigate it and finding the Nihil.

I do like the idea, very much. Mod Osborne did say he didn't want to introduce too many new gods, so as not to cheapen the specialness of the gods.

It would also be more satisfying for it to be an established character rather than just a new god introduced out of nowhere 15 years into the game's existence.

My first thought was Temekel lol.
He's covered in a ton of fire, the burning Nihl is covered in fire.
Temekel was an enemy of Zaros. The burning nihl is an enemy of Zaros.

There are similarities. Is the Queen of Ashes the cause of both? I don't know.

I kind of have to doubt its Elidnis, though it is my favorite theory, because the QoA needed help locating Gielinor, but Elidnis presumably wouldn't imo.

Temekel runs into the same issue (locating Gielinor that is).

Perhaps miss QoA took a wrong turn on her way back up from Freneskae and ended up coming back through a different elemental plane path (ex: she traveled away from Gielinor down Ful's elemental planes and is coming back through Wen's elemental planes). That could explain how the QoA could have been to Gielinor before and yet needs to find it once again.

Why does Temekel have the same issue? He's dead afaik.... for now.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and assume you mean Tumeken :P I only ever meant to imply similarities between Temekel, the mahjarrat and the Burning Nihl.

Oh, no. I thought you meant that Temekel having been around the Kharid Ib for so long (that's totally what the Heart of the Sun was) and apparently having survived Tumeken's detonation may have had some of Tumeken's divinity rub off on 'im. (Mostly because I couldn't remember if Temekel was male or female)

And I wouldn't count Temekel as dead quite yet. His head was still active once chopped off, and we only saw him turn into flame and set fire to the camp. We never saw him die, the apparent necromancy during the battle could very well have been sustaining him (and could continue to sustain him), and he doesn't appear to be 100% Mahjarrat anymore since Lucien and Bilrach failed to recognize him.

Who wants to bet that Flamey Undead-ish Temekel is the pharoah of Menaphos.

Idk about her being Tier 2. It's not totally impossible, but you don't necessarily need to be a T2 god to mess around with life and mutating stuff if it already exists. Remember what happened with Zamorak and the dwarves that he 'blessed'?

Do we know for sure that the other gods aren't aware of Freneskae though? I can't recall what was said about their knowledge of the different planets, but I can see Elidinis going to Freneskae to find out what happened to drive Amascut insane and finding the nihil somehow.

To add to the list of people that are aware of Freneskae, the elven clan leaders also knew about the planet too, long before Seren shattered herself.

But I like how you connected the idea about the QoA/Elidinis adopting the Nihil when she visited the planet to perhaps find the source of her daughter's insanity. Nice point.
I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Well we don't know if she took one, remember any Nihil of that size would be different to the Nihil on Freneskae, which would be considered an target to them, so we don't know how he found the Queen. He is also aware of Zaros deeming him a failure, and having a grudge against him. So this could mean he was like Nex, aware, and smart, that Zaros left to kill, I mean after all he did know that "different would make her a target." Plus he didn't make Nex this big, he stated that he noticed one grow, and started to become different, which he then took under his wings. Plus all Nihil are smart, once you summon one, you have a full dialogue with them.

and if he is still alive after being beheaded... then sudenly it makes a fair bit of sense again to imprison azzanadra instead of killing him
