So I'm sure by now you've all played through Kindred spirits. If not then you're depriving yourself of an experience you'll take with you through your entire remaining lifetime, so go do that now if you haven't already. Off you pop.

Anyway, before you post no this thread isn't referencing me, it's in fact referencing a character I genuinely considered a likable one. Sliske.

You see while I used to laugh at all the frustration he brought you all, he, to be blunt, beat me up and took not only a part of my coveted world guardian powers, but also a part of my soul.

Ladies and Gentlemen of these fine forums, he effectively stole us from ourselves.

I admit it. I underestimated him even after Azzanadra warned me. He must be so disappointed...

Before I ramble on, I will get to the point.

The Quest did as it was meant to. It turned Sliske into the enemy he should of always been for even someone like me. So my question and fun little reasoning for this thread is basically this in a template form I'd like you to fill out as such:

Did KS worsen or improve your opinion of Sliske?:

In a manner of speaking, worsen. I think he's still a great character that I can't wait to see more of in endgame, but one I kick myself for ever standing with, without a doubt my second biggest quest choice regret and I will see it rectified.

Do you plan to take vengeance against Sliske? *Best suggestions get praised*:

Absolutely. Nobody steals from me. Especially if it's me that's being stolen from me. Personally, should Mod Raven listen to my delightful suggestions, I want to see what happens when you break a Mahjarrats forehead gem.

Would you team up with all the characters you personally despise if it meant Sliske would be brought to whatever Justice you thought was right?:

Yes. Yes I would. All god grudges I have aside, Sliske is a far far more dangerous and certain threat verses whatever evil I *Think* Saradomin might do next.

Marvelous vengeance ideas:

Lethalintent:- Shatter his forehead gem.

Aterivus:- I say it's time for me to wear a new type of facemask.

Mghtymth:- Cut off his face and put it up in my house as a reminder of my dear old Sliske.

CakeRider:- I'll get revenge by ousting Sliske as a Scaly to his fellow Mahjarrat

King Peter:- At this stage I'd like to take the Siphon and use it to extract every last memory from him in the most excruciating way possible. Then I'd use those memories to have some more 'fun' with him. And when he's little more than a sobbing empty husk of a Mahjarrat, *then* I'd hand him over to Seren and let her have her way with him.

AncientDrew:- I always wanted to kill him, but now I'm thinking of doing other things to him. Maybe release every single one of his wights, strip him of his Shadow Realm powers, tie him up and leave him with Seren. Then spit on whatever's left of him.

From an out of universe perspective it made me appreciate him a lot more as a character. He always seemed like stereotypical Joker character to me, and his sudden change in personality didn't help. But now... So much of what he does makes so much sense, though I suspect the grand reveal will be whatever we saw in that focus.

In-universe I'd say I never really liked him. He was a manipulative son of a ***** who was kind of funny, but he was pure standard trickster-evil. I was curious about what he was really like, because it always seemed like he was hiding something, but he was not a character I'd support.

As for a punishment? Send Seren on his ass, see how he gets out of that one.

Didn't improve or worsen him for me. He's always be a child...this just underlined it. But at least he can prove to be a challenging foe, which is nice I suppose. I don't care that he tried to take my soul or WG powers. A soul is just a hinderance, and the WG status is a curse.

I'll kill him because he's an annoying child and no other reason. Personally, I'd enjoy forcing him to play a life or death game and ending it by forcing him to inhale laughing gas until he dies.
Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Souls are for chumps. Sliske can keep mine if he wants.

I've never seen the point of vengeance or revenge. It's a waste of time tbh. Anger and stress raise cortisol levels which lead to greater health risks. Sure maybe the person hurt me somehow, but dwelling on it further will only hurt me more, and hurting them isn't going to unhurt me. Maybe I'm a bit self-centered but in my mind, nobody is important enough to be worth sacrificing my health in order to hurt them. It's better to force yourself to let it go.

Do I personally think much differently of Sliske? Nah, we already knew he was an emotional punk, he pulled the same stunt in Fotg.

I kind of respect him a bit more now that I know he has morals I guess. His ramblings reveal that he is passionate disrupting the status quo and causing chaos. Before I thought he didn't really care for anything, now we know at least he cares about something other than himself.

Would I be willing to work with my enemies to stop Sliske. Well technically I already did, Dat was a thing I guess. Personally, I like knowing Sliske is running about ******** (the stars say ******** as in ******** in a lightbulb) with people.

My opinion of the guy really didn't change too much. I've always thought that he was little more than a plot device that jagex is too afraid to let us properly deal with beyond making our characters useless in cutscenes (seriously, I had a drygore sword in my hand during the beating, why the hell did my character go for a punch instead?:@ ), and the quest more or less played out as I expected it would in that respect. Though I do wish his more twisted jigsaw tendencies would come out more often after seeing how good he can get with that stuff.

Do you plan to take vengeance against Sliske? :

If the option presents itself, !#@!$ yeah. Out of universe, I've always wondered how a Mahjarrat looks when you cut them up on an operating table and go all mad scientist on whatever they have on the inside. In universe....I still like to watch things bleed out painfully, especially if they started it by throwing the first punch...

Or I'll settle for at least some poetic irony stuff like using his own little 'games' against him. An ever shifting shadow maze similar to the one he put Ahrim though sounds nice to me :3

Would you team up with all the characters you personally despise if it meant Sliske would be brought to whatever Justice you thought was right?:

Yeah, but only because Sliske is potentially going to mess the world up. I keep my stuff in the world. I don't plan on losing that stuff because of rivalries. :s

That's tough to say. As a character and villain in the game I think that aspect improved. It worsend however as he stole a part of my soul and beat the tar out of me.

Vengeance?: Oh yea no mistakes this time, he survived me and Zamoraks combined force, but he will not get away next time.

Would you team up with all the characters you personally despise if it meant Sliske would be brought to whatever Justice you thought was right?:
Yes, it would pain me to side with Armadyl, Seren, or Saradomin, but if it meant bringing him down I'd make an exception.

Did KS worsen or improve your opinion of Sliske?:

Worsen, but perhaps in a different way than most other players. You see, prior to this I wouldn't say I hated Sliske, I actually pitied him. I sincerely believed he would end up with his fair share of tragedy, symbolically using the mask as a front to hide his true self from the world; I expected him to be the type of person who never truly felt compatible in any world, and he used his theatricality to hide that side of him. A wayward soul, never making the basic connection to others.

But it seems he does have direction, and the masks aren't there to hide a pained soul at heart, they are simply there to cover-up some nasty ****. I would be willing to share a moment of empathy with him, even if I don't personally agree with him, but certainly no longer. He took part of my my very essence, and practically beat the bald off of me.

Do you plan to take vengeance against Sliske? *Best suggestions get praised*:

YES. As an ex-Guthixian, he took my God from me. He took part of my soul from me. He dared lay a hand on me. I say it's time for me to wear a new type of facemask, one perhaps carved from his own flesh after I suitably remove his head and place it tightly on the end of a pike.

Would you team up with all the characters you personally despise if it meant Sliske would be brought to whatever Justice you thought was right?:

Yes. I've generally always been willing to put aside my own biases for the greater good. With Sliske, I'd even be willing to find Lucien's bag of dusty old bones and sooner side with those if it helped take down Scumbag Sliske.
