Why is it...that Loarnab and Tuska are mindless, savage, unintelligent creatures, despite being gods, yet Marimbo gained intelligence upon ascension? She described it as "waking up one day." I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Marimbo is a transascended gorilla which have very similar behaviour to humans and the evolution theory supports this also, as the humans were apes.

Now I don't know which species Loarnab was (hydra??) so I can't speak for it.
But Tuska is a boar and they are not very intelligent in a human way.

Loarnab wasn't mindless. The Codex Ultimatus says He was a beast, but one with "awareness of and purpose in its actions". "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you[...]For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?

If you mean Bandos with your "rhino", they don't have four eyes.
And pretty sure that he was intelligent before his ascension.

Check his memories.

Well his species is based off of rhinos, like how Aviansies are based off of birds. I worship Mah, for she is mah homegirl! The correct adjective for Mah's followers are: Mahomies, Mah-homeboys, or Mah-homegirls.

Rhinos and birds with human-like features.
I'd imagine Tuska killed some god like that boar wounded Robert Baratheon.

As much as they are anthropomorphic species, that doesn't change the fact that their species of origin are canonically of roughly human intelligence. And as Jagex has already clarified, godhood essentially amplifies the origin specie's traits. So beings that have human-like intelligence (Aviansie, Kal-i-kra, Humans, Mahjarrat, etc...) or a precursor to it (apes) results in a god having varying degrees of human-like intelligence.

On the other hand, species with thought processes that are distinctly inhuman (boars, hydras, etc...) would develop an amplified form of their original thought processes, which resuls in them appearing incredibly alien, primitive, or savage to us.

I do wonder if it may end up being to do with Elder Artefact involvement in ascension. Marimbo we know through a dubious story that an Elder Artefact was involved. Loarnab might have had Elder Artefact involvement but it seems pretty unlikely though I cannot fathom how he would have come to Gielinor unless he was always there in which case an Elder Artefact does seem likely that early. Tuska it now seems extremely unlikely that an Elder Artefact was involved though then that does make arrival on Naragun a huge coincidence whereas before following the crown there made sense.
