Wouldn't surprise me if they naturally lived to be 2000+. At this rate it sounds like the long-lived races are the majority, which is why the Gielinor Wars can last so long. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

The long-lived races must have been bored. Or closet Bandosians.
Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!

How can Zarador live that long? He lived for 2000 years or so? It said that after the God war ended and the gods were deported by Guthix. Zarador went into hiding and waited for Bandos to return. I understand why General G lived for a long time because they got frozen by a unknown spell fpr 2000 years. Zarador did said he master the art of shaman and magic...maybe he cast a spell himself so he can't died of old age? Lol

The short answer is that he's not that old. Not even close.

Ask Zarador about ourgs, and you'll get the long answer.

a lot of things aren't mentioned. I don't think he was born on gielinor but I also don't think he was much of a force in the mahjarrat world before coming to gielinor,kl.

"The ourgs were not wiped out in the God Wars as many believe, but only a handful of our shamans survived. The last of them retreated to a hidden vale, believing it was more important to preserve the lores of their god than to die in battle as so many others had done. There they lived down through the centuries in seclusion, but they were broken and dispirited and their numbers dwindled until in the final generation only one was born. Me. The elders passed on their knowledge of Bandos and his ways, and when the last of them died I left the vale and lived amongst each of the other peoples of Yu'biusk. It was from them that I learned to be a warrior and then an engineer. It was amongst them that I first felt the eye of Bandos on me and drew his attention with the clever use of cannon. I realised that my ancestors had been wrong to hide, but that without their error I would not exist and I would not be there at my god's side on his final battlefield."

No one on the lore forums believes he was born on Gielinor, but we've been told that he's the same age as Lucien and as the Trumps cards state, Lucien had to have been born on Gielinor. Zamorak's pre-Gielinor backstory will likely be expanded on in CoM

To be fair, J Mods also talk about his life in Frenesake so....yeah Trump Cards just suck. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain.
