The Falador Massacre is one of the most iconic bugs to ever hit RS, that is not only still talked about in game nearly 10 years later, but it also has its own Wiki page!

Now at least now that ghost can be laid to rest and it has its own place in game Lore.
The purpose of adventure is to shine light into dark places,
Poke monsters with a sharp stick, Then steal anything that isn't nailed down!

This thread is older, but today's 'surprise' event - Cursed You's 99 party and the Appearance of Durial321 in falador to kill does confirm that Jagex would be recognizing this.

I hope Fmods understand I am adding to this topic by posting today. It's quite significant to this thread!

Please let the discussion continue!

What will happen next? Will we see any items actually come INTO game from this event?

Such a disapointment....we should have been able to side with Durial instead and help him punish the skilling scum. Make it spread across all worlds and all areas of the map, so we can kick the skillers out. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I smiled when I saw this in-game.

The lore should be that a psychopath named Durial gathered followers and attacked civilians in Falador in the year 174 of the 5th Age (In my headcannon, 1 IRL year = 1 RS year starting in 169 and ending in 181). Many took refuge in the tunnels underneath Falador, until Durial was eventually caught and killed.

Although, I can see the negative implications this would have. Namely, the sentiment that rule-breaking would end up with yourself being portrayed in the lore. Lol.

And apparently rule-breaking can lead to yourself being immortalized as a NPC! :O If that's true, why not be a part of the lowly lore?
To those cursed by war and pest, Come into the light of Armadyl and rest. This is the law of Armadyl.

*shrugs* Just lagfest 2016 to me. The only lore behind it is as follows:

Jagex, much like so many fallen Gods... didn't bug check well enough.
A
World Guardian
must learn to find
Balance
in themselves.
Only then can they
Control
themselves and forge their own
Fate.
