So it seems Jagex posted the answers to the May VIP Q&A questions, and it seems that few have noticed. I'll post the lore section here for anyone interested.

My questions concern the Anima Mundi of Gelinor. If the 2nd Godwars Dungeon is referred to "The Heart" of the world, then Gelinor's Anima Mundi could be seen as a living being or child of the Elder Gods and could also have a brain or a central nervous system. Vorago and his minions could be seen as Gelinor's antibodies made to protect Gelinor from diseases such as the Gods, but they can't protect against some diseases such as the Poison Wastes. Therefore, we could be seen as microscopic creatures living on the skin/surface of the world. Additionally, the Anima Mundi has been shown to have a personality as it is capable of having relationships with other beings such as Guthix, as shown by the weeping trees when he died.

1. How plausible is my theory?
2. If the Anima Mundi has a personality, what gender and behavioural age (child, adolescent, adult, etc) would it have?
3. Could Guthix be seen as being a father figure to the Anima Mundi? He was very protective towards it.
4. If the Anima Mundi from Tuska was to be absorbed into Gelinor, would there be multiple personalities in Gelinor's Anima Mundi?
5. Could the Anima Mundi sense beings on it's surface by feeling the pressure/weight they exert on it? Can it feel anything in the Poison Wastes?

Mod Osborne: 1. Very plausible
2. The obvious cliche is a Mother Earth, as it were. We tend to subvert cliche rather than embrace it, though
3. He was always a shepherd-like character, so I see this in Guthix
4. I don't think so. If so, the anima of so many other creatures and gods would be muddying the pool. It would be a mess. I think the anima is more toward a pure energy source.
5. The anima mundi is deeply connected to life, and in some way IS life. So, yes, it would 'sense' beings on the surface

How were the Chelon-Mah able to use the ritual of rejuvenation to pass on their powers into a single member if the Ritual should have given their life force to Mah instead?

Mod Osborne: The Chelon Mah explored a different method of rejuvenation, a different method of sustaining their tribe.

The Mahjarrat came to Gielinor with Icthlarin, and the Chelon-Mah were finished off by Bilrach, but are there any more of the Mahserrat left on Freneskae?

Mod Osborne: Well, that would make a great story, wouldn't it?

Will the Queen of Ashes or Xau-Tek play a part in any content this year?

Mod Osborne: This year? Probably not, although who knows what Sliske has planned for the Endgame?

Is Muspell the origin of the Queen of Ashes and/or the Auspah race?

Mod Osborne: I like a connection between the Queen of Ashes and the Auspah. But largely the Queen has been talked about in the same breath as elementals and giants.

Does Zaros view the Dragonkin as potential allies or a dangerous threat? Would he be open to assisting them with breaking Jas' curse if he ascends?

Mod Osborne: I think he has an open mind. There are so so many similarities between Kerapac and Zaros, for example.
Mod Rowl*y: I think he'd see them as little more than a security device, a tool of the elders - neither dangerous (to him) nor potential allies. If a plucky adventurer ever managed to free them, though, no doubt he'd consider trying to get them to follow his teachings.

Zamorak seems absolutely certain that Zaros is an enemy, and given the events of the zarosian purge, Saradomin likely feels the same way, but what is Armadyl's opinion of Zaros?

Mod Osborne: Armadyl's original approach is to give Gods a chance, to judge them by their actions rather than their reputations. I don't think he knows enough about New Zaros, so would not immediately go on the offensive. He would wait to see what tricks Zaros pulls.

Will we ever learn more about the Imcando dwarves?

Mod Osborne: I would love to, but it's not high up the list. I do wonder if there is some connection to the Elder Gods that might make it more pertinent.

Who is the strongest mortal character?

Mod Osborne: It depends on your definition of 'mortal'. Are we including Mahjarrat? If so, I would suggest a straight face-off between Sliske and Azzanadra. If we're looking outside of Mahjarrat, and nixing dragonkin and anima, then thematically (ignoring dead characters and how boss battles tend to apply arbitrary combat levels) I would plump for Nex, Kennith or Mod Elfborne.

Is there anything that Seren could do to help the Cywir clan?

Mod Osborne: I would suggest that yes, she could. She has the same power level as Zaros, so she can alter life on a genetic level (just not create it)

Have the lunar mages been level grinding for combat spells since V died? Will be be able to see them in action at some point in the future?

Mod Osborne: That would be great, wouldn't it? It's easy to forget our friends in the north-west, but there must be something we can do with them.

I believe you guys mentioned a Lores & Histories would be released alongside Nomad's Elegy which would reveal more about, amongst other things, the true identity of Nomad's master. Long story short: will this ever see daylight?

Mod Osborne: It's on Mod Raven's To Do list. He is driven by whimsy, though, and often works on several projects at once.

Alright, to get this completely completely clear: Vanstrom Klause = Ascertes?

Mod Osborne: Yes

So we've been hearing whispers about a sixth Elder God... Any more you can reveal?

Mod Osborne: Kerapac says "no"

Will Vindicta meet her father, Hannibus, sometime in the near future?

Mod Osborne: I would be surprised if not.

Will more characters be dying? I was hoping Endgame would have a lot more at stake and more casualities so far (let the bodies hit the floor...)

Mod Osborne: Oh, you big meanie (and I appreciate the Drowning Pool reference). Fate of the Gods 2 is still to happen, and Sliske may have a trick or two still up his sleeve. The deaths may not quite have come to an end. Regardless, as seen in Kindred Spirits, the lack of bloodshed has also affected Sliske, as he is accelerating the Endgame in a hope for more death.

Sliske and Wahisietel are technically brothers, but would they still consider one another as 'family', sentimentally?

Mod Osborne: I once saw a birthday card from Sliske on Wahisietel's mantlepiece.

How does OSRS connect to Unescape, Is it like a separate version like New Varrock?

Mod Osborne: I like to see it as a divergent point in RuneScape's timeline. It's a snapshot of the game from just before God Wars Dungeon, so it's what would have happened if the God Wars Dungeon never unthawed.

In theory, is it possible for a Vampyre to avoid the effects of the Salve Barrier by taking the portal to Vampyrium, travelling to The World Gate and emerging on the other side of Gielinor?

Mod Osborne: Um, that's a very good point! I like to imagine a specific Guardian of Guthix dedicated to shipping out cheeky vampyres who use teleportation methods to get past the Salve.
Mod Rowl*y: I'd like to say, yes, a vampyre could have circumvented the barrier in this way, however, the World Gates were powered down, and I'd think they only become active once the player travels to a new one.

How is it possible that Cres could die? He didn't really have any organs or such to be harmed by getting stabbed.

Mod Osborne: He got a direct hit to the stamen (take that, Biology teacher from 20 years ago! You predicted I'd never remember these things!)

How did Ivandis Seergaze turn into a vampyre without daeyalt ore?

Mod Rowl*y: The blood ritual he and the other priestly warriors performed at the Salve was akin to a naturally occuring vamp**isation process (with rune essence likely being the catalyst for the change). The process used by vampyres was a scientific replication of this more natural process, and refined daeyalt proved to be a more reliable and more successful catalyst.

In Kindred Spirits it was said that it has been 3 years since the death of Guthix. Does this mean that the time has moved on to the 4th year of Sixth Age?

Mod Osborne: Yep. We are now effectively progressing in real-time. Jack Bauer is due to find an Elder Artefact next year.

Can we expect the next few years to follow a similar narrative format as 2016, with two big storylines? Like Sliske and Vampyres

Mod Osborne: No. Next year is looking like a slight deviation from that format.

Are Telos and Vorago related to each other?

Mod Osborne: Yes and no. They are both borne from the same matter.

---

Lastly, this was asked in the General section, but seemed like it belongs in the Lore section...

Are we going to see one more counter between Saradomin and Zamorak in near future?

Mod Osborne: There is always the endgame.

I have consulted with the Unaligned God and he has revealed all the answers to me.

The Sixth Elder God is the Anima Mundi.

Sliske serves the Dark Lord version of the Anima Mundi.

The Balance and Chaos Elementals come from the Anima Mundi and the the Dark Lord Anima Mundi. (You don't really think Guthix had powers of time and space did you? He obviously asked for help).

You can thank me for spoiling you all later.
I'm too Unaligned to have a forum signature.

How the hell is Kennith compared to Nex? And why isn't the player mentioned when we can effortlessly solo Nex? Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.
