Azzanadra's crazy, unintelligent, and a danger to society...nothing new, though I guess it explains how he got more power. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

I also remember Wahisietel being able to fend off Lucien.. legit, right?

Sure, why not? Even Den could go fight Nex without immediately being OHKO. =P It's not like Wahisietel was winning or anything.

And as for Azzy needing Arrav to deal with Zemo, I'd like to point out that Azzy didn't fight Zemo in RotM (if I'm not mistaken, Sliske's Barrows Brothers were handling that)

The Barrows Brothers were fighting Arrav while Zemourgal was beating Azzanadra.

Honestly, I think they messed up the fights in RoTM. Lucien should have fought Azzanadra, and Wahi shoul have fought Zem instead. Tiffy also somehow survives dueling with Hazeel, which is a bit questionable.

And why shouldn't he? He's doing fine in DoD Falador and is pretty much a certifiable badass. Also Akrisae was offering support. Not to mention that this was before the actual ritual and some of the Mahjarrat (particularly Azzanadra, Hazeel, Akthanakos, Enakhra, etc.) were really weak from missing so many of them.

EDIT: Looking back, I wonder if Zemourgal was fighting Azzy before the ritual too? That'd explain everything.

Now that I think about it, Kharshai was the same tier as Azzanadra and yet Enakhra was able to beat him and force him into hiding....so I doubt the difference in Mahjarrat tiers is all that significant.

The combat levels weren't there for gameplay reasons since we didn't fight them. And honestly, the EoC combat levels make much more sense. We shouldn't be able to beat a level 1000 monster. Everyone monster over level 400 should be able to OHKO us, but that's not the case.

Nabor got locked away deep in the Senntisten Asylums by Azzanadra. I reckon they got into a fight when Nabor questioned Azzanadra's sanity.

...Oh shit, maybe that was the dirt he had on Azzanadra...

I believe it has something to do with why he was imprisoned in the Jaldraocht. If Saradomin and Zamorak were trying to erase the Zarosian empire, why didn't they kill him? Why bind his power into 4 crystals? I think he's far more powerful than we suspect.

Killing him would be much much easier, but then that'd be a loss for all the Mahjarrat. As DoD Zemourgal says, it's better to keep him stored until they need him. Even Lucien wanted to avoid killing his fellow Mahjarrat until his hand was forced.
