...I usually don't buy it when in fantasy people say "Oh, they don't actually have emotions." There's always this trope that their emotions are just really well hidden. Think of the Vulcans, or a robot, or the Jedi, or the Witchers. One of the hallmarks of being Sentient is HAVING emotions, at least in some way. I think the same will hold true for Zaros: any lack of emotion just seems too bogus for me. And besides, in order to truly understand the people he wants to control like puppets on strings, he's got to learn of their emotions and their motivations. Either he's an idiot or he'd make it a point to learn of this.

It has never been stated or even mildly suggested that Zaros is emotionless. Plenty of evidence to the contrary.
that was made painfully obvious in the light within cutscene.

I've seen the argument made multiple times as justification for why Zaros should be allowed to get away with BS. I've also seen stuff such as "Since Dark Matter makes up the majority of the Universe, Zaros is so necessary to the balance of life - it's what Guthix would have wanted!"

I'm not gonna lie - this made me hate Zaros EVEN MORE.

Zaros. I mean, what has Zamorak done for me lately? Lose to a Smurf-god? Beg me to help him get to the Catalyst?
In all seriousness though, I'm Zarosian. It's like Zaros said, I'm not really concerned with what god people follow, so I don't really have a bias against any other God. Though if Zaros was given the dark simulacrum, I don't doubt he's a lot stronger than Zamorak is. Light simulacrum? We have a different story here.
Either way, I don't think this is going to be nearly as much Zaros vs. Zamorak as people think it is. It's more Mah vs. All of her creations. The whole point is that Freneskae is in danger, and everybody who originated there can feel it, Zarosians AND Zamorakians.

If that's the case, Kharshai will definitely be there. He's the only Mahjarrat who stayed neutral in order to protect his people. Then Sliske mentioned others who stayed behind after Icthlarin took them from Freneskae, and Bilrach's memory mentions that Amascut left their village after seeing the infighting. There might be a few Mahjarrat, perhaps Temekel included, who are still alive on Freneskae after Amascut went to the volcano. Temekel might have stayed behind to protect the others as they were leaving and got stranded, having to hide while waiting for Mah to go back to sleep.

I think all of Mah's creations will be there. The Mahjarrat, Zaros, maybe even Seren. I don't think we'll find anything else on Freneskae aside from Mah though, but who knows? Maybe She dreamed (dreampt? dreamt?) up some more things? Maybe we'll find more Mahjarrat or Muspah there?
