Partyhats are part of the foundation of the rs economy.

That does not appear to be true, partyhats are a cosmetic item, they are neither a resource nor combat item. Years ago anyone could pick up the cracker and pull it with a friend and have some fun celebrating the holidays. So what used to be a fun holiday thing morphed into merely a wealth token hoarded and squabbled over by flippers and merchers.

When they made mint cakes less rare, the economy chugged on.

Heck, even when whips and godswords crashed, the economy chugged on and those where combat items.

So if there is a foundation of the economy then it would be practical things like resources and stuff that is useful for training skills or combat. Thus, the things that really drive the economy are things like spirit shards, incandescent energy, headless arrow, coal, feather, etc.

So, you can relax, putting partyhats or crackers on the Treasure Hunter (or even celebrating the holidays and releasing them again just like they first were released) would actually improve the economy because it would dislodge the wealth hoarded by flippers and merchers. As the wealth circulates the economy will grow like a healthy farm freshly pruned and watered.

Tbh if jagex wanted to make insane money they could release 1 or 2 new p hats in different colors on TH like they did the black santa, but make it even rarer with a limited stock like around the same amout as your average phat in game or even less. even if there was only 100 of each new color , I doubt it would sink prices that much with such a low stock. its just a thought nothing to take seriously
Whats the point of releasing 1 or 2 partyhats that only 1 or 2 people out of the game can own (not to mention the pricetag as well). It will affect curent phat prices given that these new phats would be rarer and hence more desireable. IMO no more partyhats should enter the game.

Quip that can be seen as encouraging rulebreaking.
Just like my thoughts really. Using his logic everyone should be entitled to access every item entered into the game because the purpose of every item is to have "fun" right?

Tweaked a post and hid the original post and the quoted post that was tweaked above. Biting sarcasm aside remember the forums are viewed by everyone. So keep it civil :)

Cheers for your support, Tranq! Let's keep rulebreaking away from this legit thread!

Now, you have probably had time to read my story about cheerful kingdom. You might be wondering what it has to do with this thread.

Workers agreed to work there for a day for a silver coin. They were promised a silver coin, and that's exactly what they got. They just became jealous because other people got the same for considerably less work. There was no need for this because they got exactly what they were promised.

Now, look at partyhats. Let's say I bummed Anja for 10 million hours to earn the money for a partyhat. I'd agree to work for a fun hat with no stats. Then someone else could get one for just 10 hours of work. Should I be jealous? No, because I got exactly what I was promised. A fun hat with no stats.
