Especially on the LLeyta Light Animica, the particles are largely obscured and difficult to see. If the colour could be changed or the particles originating from the centre rather than the base, that would make things a lot easier to see.

I had the same issue, depending on the ground cover/color very difficult to see. Also in some mining spots the same type of rock are so far apart you have to constantly change the camera angles to even attempt to see the rockertunities.

I agree, the particle effects for the Rockertunities are hard to see depending on the location, especially in LLeyta Light Animica as Hellfirem4ge stated. I heard another player say the same for some of the mining spots in the desert, possibly due to the lighting or surrounding colors...

The gold particle effects on the smaller stones in LLeyta are much better than the larger stones. It seems the polygons on the larger stone structures (stone on top of stone) are covering up the polys that have the effect placed on it. Maybe if the particle effect was on the top stone, that would work?

Or maybe this is all temporary and the RS Mining Beta Team is going to fix this problem along with the rock's/stone's textures upon release???

In the first beta they used something akin to the default loot beam. I would support something similar to this, but not the same animation.

I don't find them particularly hard to see, but I run into problems when ores are spread-out.

The runite rocks in the Mining Guild for example are so spread out that you can't see them all simply by rotating the camera. If a rockertunity spawns in a rock that I can't see from my position (no matter how I rotate the camera) then my first thought is usually that they've glitched and have simply stopped spawning.

Rockertunities should always target a close radius, no matter what rock you're mining. Even in vast open areas, remember that there are players who have their draw-distance set to "Low" and they simply cannot see beyond a relatively short distance. That should also help safeguard against rockertunities that spawn around distant corners or behaind obstacles too far away to see around with the camera alone.

The effect could be pronounced a bit more however: on occasion I've not been able to see a nearby rockertunity due to lots of other players being gathered around that rock. Maybe having the glow extend upwards, or having a subtle sound play when they spawn would help alleviate that.

I wasn't finding them hard to see for Drakolith near the Wilderness Volcano, Runite near Port Khazard or Orichalcite in the mining guild but, for the Drakolith rocks in Karamja it's definitely a hit or miss for visibility on them, I can be right on top of one and won't know it until i click the rock.

I've not tried the light animica, but for the dark animica near the throne room in Senntisten it shows very well. Perhaps a darker shade could be used? I wonder if it's possible to change the shading of the particles depending on the lighting in the area.
I bet you hovered over here thinking you'll find some lame pun, quote or "philosophical" thought. You wasted your time.

in JAVA it seem almost invisible.. even with blooming on i can hardly see it. only if i accidentally get my camera in the right angle im able to see it. especially at places that do have walls (the animation dissapears behind it). i think java needs an update on those to make em a little more visible
