*Introduction~
Hello, and welcome to “Hurt or Heal: RuneScape Skills.” Have a skill that you just hate training? Here’s the place to take revenge! Have you fallen so much in love with a skill that you dream about training it? You’ve come to the right place to show your support! :)

The idea of the game is to hurt skills that you don’t like and heal skills which you do like. Hurting a skill subtracts health from that skill, while healing a skill heals increases health in that skill. Once a skill hits 0 health, the skill is eliminated from the game. At the end of the game, the skill left standing shall be declared the winner. As stated previously, there are more nuanced rules which should be read before playing which may be found on post 2.

~Rules~

1) After each reset (explained in Rule 3) each skill starts off with 15 health.

2) With each post you make, you
MAY:
-Hurt x2
-Hurt x1, heal x1
-Hurt x1
(Though this isn’t advisable and “wastes” one of your votes)
-Heal x1
(Though this isn’t advisable and “wastes” one of your votes)
-Hurt x1, Hurt x1 (two different skills)
-Heal x1, Heal x1 (two different skills)


You
MAY NOT:
-Heal x2


3) After 5 skills have been eliminated, each skill’s health is automatically reset to 15. Once 11 skills remain (after the third reset), resets will occur after 3 skills have been eliminated. When 5 skills remain (Two “3 skill” resets), the last reset will occur after 2 skills have been eliminated, leaving the last 3 skills with no further resets.

26-11 skills: 5 skill eliminations between each reset (3 total resets of this type)
11-5 skills: 3 skill eliminations between each reset (2 total resets of this type)
5-3 skills: 2 skill eliminations between each reset (1 total reset of this type)
3-1 skills: NO reset

4) At least one other player must have posted to Hurt or Heal after you before you may post again to hurt or heal-- in other words, no double posting. Note that my stating "Update" does not count as a post. ;)

~Justification of Rules~
The idea of these rules was to provide an interesting and unique spin on Hurt or Heal games. With previous Hurt or Heal games I’ve played, I found two or three favorite categories would get healed to ridiculous amounts of health, while other categories wouldn’t be touched at all (players were rather indifferent to these categories). This meant that it took a while for less liked categories to be eliminated, and also meant that the ‘end game’ was consumed by players continuously healing and hurting the same category for x2 so the game took a very long time. By these rules (what I like to call “survivor man style”), players’ best strategy for keeping their favorite skill alive by eliminating other skills, which helps move the game along. This also introduces a bit of strategy and makes it more of a game rather than simply encouraging users to come back to post to support their favorite skill. Finally, with the (assumed) quicker game time, this means there will be less turnover for someone to get back to supporting their favorite skill if it gets eliminated.

I am aware that the rules may be excessively complicated or that you guys would just rather play a traditional hurt or heal game. If that’s the case, I’m open to feedback. Please PM me ingame as my private chat is always on. If you prefer playing this way, please also let me know so I know not to change the rules!
