Interesting, but it's not the fix I'm looking for.

Maxed mains will still prey on low levels.

Bots will still thrive.

Thanks for the post. So far, I think capping gathering based on total level is the best suggestion so far. Combing that with my captcha cursed energy pickpocketing while reintroducing the wild level restriction would be ultimate.

No matter what the idea is OP for this cursed problem, there will always be a flaw. The flaw in your idea is so big that it probably would not do anything.

First flaw: Pking does not count toward daily limit.
*It would probably cause a rise in PKbots and a decrease in cursed bots, aka (cursed energy bots becoming PKbots).
:*Table wold get flipped from actual players pking bots, to pkbots pking actual players.
*Makes no use of your 1k cursed limit. Bot masters would just have multiple cursed bots that would get pked by their own pkbots. Thus does not fix botting issue.

Possible solutions OP and other would give to the first flaw, where the solutions have flaws:
*Make a limit on Pkers in F2P as well since cursed is useless in F2P.
: Problem with this solution is that F2P players will have less exposure time to learn more about P2P skills when using bonds. Actual F2P players have more than one reason for collect cursed energy. Selling cursed is just only one of them.:
:::*After the update where limestone became F2P, actual legit F2P players that were planing to by a bond for P2P with in game money, would collect cursed energy (via PvB or collecting them from wisps) and limestone. They would do that as task every other play session or at the end of the week, while other times when they played the game they would try to earn money for the bond. Once they earned the money, they would get 14 day P2P. On P2P they would weave the cursed for XP. While Weaving they would either weave to pale, bright, or glowing energy. They would then weave this energy with lime stone for sign of respite and XP. Basically limiting F2P for the amount of cursed energy they can get can actually hurt legit F2P players as with your idea it would make it much harder for F2P players to experience P2P content more thoroughly as well as give time for them to see other P2P content. It would also devalue the use of limestone in F2P and P2P. Limestone is rarely used in construction in P2P.

Flaw 2: Thieving..........

*Pkers and Bot Busters would be forced into the wildi volc... which is almost a no-entrance zone for those with a low def and low HP. (With these to low stats you would be barely alive going past the demons and/or the hell hounds. ) Basically one shot and their dead. Why am I saying this? All the thieving would happen at the volc, once the bot starts moving out of the volc they are most likely moving and as you stated "MOVEMENT CAUSES THIEVING TO FAIL", thus the thieving then can only take place when they stop. Which is most likely the place where they bank, thus I think this thieving idea of yours would cause all the activity to only happen inside the volc and low levels would have no chance to participate since they would be half-dead by the time they are inside the volc.

Possible solution OP can come up with for this:

*Make the demons and hell hounds non-aggravated.
:::*No way is that a solution, it would only make the wildi worst and too easy.

*You can not thieve if you have cursed.
:::*Drops curse, thievs, pick up dropped curse.

*Move cursed outside of volc.
:::*To much work for Jagex probably (graphics and wildi sites rearrangements).

I have not heard of a PK bot before. I don't think that a pk bot would be able to fight as well as a player anyway. If cursed energy/memories are made stackable, players will be able to take a full inv of food and fight these "pk bots", which will be pretty interesting in my opinion.

None of my suggestions completely fix the botting issue and I didn't claim that they did. They are simply systems to significantly lessen the destruction that bots cause. Bots can run for days at a time. Gathering 1k cursed energy takes hardly any time at all and the bot will very quickly be useless. The person owning the bot would have to continually log into a different acc, which would surely reduce his/her ability to farm energy.

It doesn't matter that F2P will gather less cursed energy. That's actually the issue atm. Energy is meant to be 500gp ea, but because of all the F2P bots, the market value is really about 200-250 from when I last checked. 1k cursed/day is plenty for F2P. Many would say that they shouldn't even have access to it at all.

I don't understand some things that you mentioned. Jagex exposes F2P players to members content by allowing them to train member's skills to level 5. No more exposure is needed. If they want membership, they should buy membership or a bond.

There are many ways to earn enough GP in F2P. No need to rely purely on cursed farming to get membership with GP. Limiting to 1k/day is fine.

So idk why this was mentioned.

I never said moving stops pickpockets. I said that the thief moves with the victim, so the pickpocket still works with movement.

Thieving will be an option in F2P, players just won't get thieving XP.
It doesn't matter if a bot thieves a player, as it is easy to prevent.

It's definitely a good idea for bot prevention.

The problem is, that players gathering cursed energy require a lot of inventory slots in order to be efficient. This means hardly any food. Funnelling all Pkers from all worlds into one, or a few, would make it almost impossible for legitimate players to gather there. It's a case of a PKer verses a skiller, and we all know that that's not a fair scenario.

If cursed energy+memories were stackable, as I have suggested previously, players would be able to take food and would then be able to not only defend themselves, but have a good chance to defeat their attackers! This is real PVP

The combination of stackable cursed gathering + your idea to limit cursed gathering to one world (or a few worlds) is a great solution!
