I have had a lot of flak from player who have received prayer exp from trying out the new firemaking update, did it actually say anywhere that making incense burners would give prayer? If this was not made clear should they be offer a reset on prayer?

No i did not see that mentioned anywhere.
It does not say in the skill guide that is ingame either. As secondary xp there was none for every step. Maybe you get prayer xp when burning them?

You get the prayer xp you would ha gotten using the impious, accursed, or infernal ashes when making the incense burners. You also get fletching xp from the logs you turn into incense sticks or?

So if you dont want the xp buy the finish item on ge and on get the benefits.

No problem with that at all, it just would have been better if in the update they had highlighted to players that they would get prayer from an update to firemaking.

It did surprise me to see I was gaining Prayer experience, but after thinking about it it does make sense considering we are using ashes. (Plus the fact that incense is commonly used in religious type things)

As with any new content though... players who have chosen to limit their gameplay (skillers, pures.. whatever else there is) should know by now to wait before trying out new content, or at the very least take some caution when trying it.

As you say, surprised and AFTER thinking about it.

And why would skillers think about it afterwards but for Jagex constantly holding their hands and wiping their bums. Take responsibility for themselves.

And of course after every update you always wait 6 weeks for everyone else to do all the hard work of checking out every possibility for you, just in case you get hurt.
