Why are shards valued at 25gp in trades of rare items when you can only sell them for 24?

I just tested- I cant sell for 25 but insta sold for 24.

Shouldn't all of the trades be recalculated to reflect the 24 gp price?

Example BSH

Buyer believes 122m shards at 25 gp is 3.05 billion

but

122m at 24 is 2.928 billion

Difference of 122m.

Just curious

They can be *sold to vendors for 25 GP as well as bought, making their value whole and never changing Once upon a cloud. ^_^

I've always wondered why people sell shards on the ge
because unfortunately not everyone realizes that they can be sold back to the shop at the same amount they're bought at. There are even people on here that take advantage of those players, and try to sell bulk at 27/28 gp per, or they'll buy peoples extras at 23/24 per.

I am definitely not trying to scam anyone.

Its been a long time since I have bought spirit shards from Taverly and I was referring to the price on the ge.

I started to investigate selling my rare and was just curious about the 24-25 difference.

But if you can sell the shards to the Taverly summoning guy for 25gp then you have answered my question. Thanks
