Well, this can only be a win-win at this point; if the new owner removes Treasure Hunter and doesn't replace it with another P2W MTX method, then it's obviously a godsend. And if the new owner takes an even bigger piss with the MTX, it's gonna break the camel's back and something will have to change drastically. :P

Hopefully the former though, because it's a shame how poorly Jagex has treated RS3, and it'd be about time for a change.

@Nubby Nubnub, JD said that it's "one of 'those' corporate statements", as if he referred to previous corporate statements from Jagex, which have pretty much always lied about how various changes like this to the company aren't going to change the everyday stuff like monetization. So one way or another, something will probably change, even if that statement denies it.

Hm, your way to optimistic. No offence Blackwing.

I don't think TH will ever change. In fact I think the next company to get their hands on Jagex will be even worse.

Heh, no need to worry about that. :P

Regarding TH never changing, I mean, had you told a scaper before SoF arrived that it'd arrive, they would've laughed in your face and not believe you, but it did come. So even though it might seem unlikely at the moment that TH would be removed, it's no more impossible than it was for SoF to be added. All it takes is for a higher-up to order it to be removed, and a "factory floor" jmod to remove it from the code of the game's active build.

When Jagex isn't wasting money on side projects, it's a highly profitable company.

Partially correct, but Chronicle could've been a success too had Jagex not abandoned it so quickly when it wasn't making RS3/OSRS levels of profit from the start.

But overall yeah, Jagex is wasting so many resources on failure projects that would be better spent on RS3/OSRS.
