Hey all,

We're now launching this week's RuneScape game update, featuring some of the tastiest foodstuffs to ever grace Gielinor! ETA: 11:00 game time.

Mmm... it's a new quest at last, but I have this feeling that the new cheesecakes are going to be dead content, since it's a F2P novice quest after all. It would be alright if that kind of early game was still doing healthy in the game, but the powercreep is largely out of control.

Now that the M&S rework was completed, maybe the same team could work on rebalancing the entire game's exp rates? That way, content like this would be much more meaningful than they are now, because people would actually have time to use it. It shouldn't be that "mammoth" of a task either; simply removing obvious issues like Treasure Hunter and tweaking the numbers for the rest would do. :P

Tasty you say? Does that mean we get a slaughter house for our farm?

How d'you know it's novice? 32 Cooking is a very, very high requirement for a novice quest.

Not sure why this quest is being made anyway, instead of something meaningful (gnomes and EW have been waiting for sequels since Q1 2011).

I mean if the cheesecakes help newer players - why not? It wouldn't have hurt though if it had some tiered system with the last one being relevant (or at least a niche choice) for high levels. But I guess like this it'll end up like bacon - a fun idea, but probably quite useless outside of being part for an achievement.

It isn't like it had an open end or something like this.

I hated elemental workshop, so I hope that's the very last priority if ever, but yeah, this being one of those "bottle quests" sounds like something they came up quickly to push out anything.

Your feelings aren't as important as the game integrity to continue quest lines that have been neglected on which should definitely be a priority because of game integrity.
