Wouldn't it be great if we could have a 'Half boss level' weekend (every boss begins at half lifepoints or half combat level) so that those of us with less coordination in our hands could get our kill levels.

Monsters could be half lifepoints or half combat level whichever is the easiest to change and then the drops could also be half or even not existant.

The other idea would be to have the practice mode count towards the kill levels just for a weekend.

Whilst double experience weekends are great, they do seem to help the killers more than the skillers. Skillers would skill whatever and no doubt killers kill whatever.

If the half boss lvl was the same time as the double exp weekend then I would expect killers would get their skilling in and skillers would get their kill counts.

Over to you for a sensible discussion, please no flaming as we all play our own game our own way.

No support. If you're struggling with bosses, train your combat skills, get better gear, or just keep practicing. Weekends like this only give unfair advantages to those that can play during them.

No. If ur struggling then just keep trying. There is already practice mode with risk free deaths so do that instead. The brightest ideas are the most undervalued.

The should make a practice mode group bossing/raiding world rather.

The idea is for players to get practice mode partners in an easier way. It should make group bossing/raiding more palatable.

...you say about one of the easiest MMOs ever.

I actually kinda support this. Thing is, player skill can only be improved by so much. Meaning, for some, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for them to beat the harder bosses. They are actually incapable of ever doing so.

While I don't care about bossing, I am one of those "not good at video games" gamers. I have improved drastically since I was a little kid(when I played Ocarina of Time at 9 years old, I was only able to get as far as meeting Princess Zelda; I never beat the 2nd dungeon. Now, I can crush that game very easily), but I still suck overall, and I haven't improved much at all over the past few years, despite practicing and in the case of some games, trying harder than ever before. This is in part due to age. While I am still young, a gamer's prime tends to be around the early twenties. After that, they don't improve much more, and eventually, even start to get worse, and this is true for ALL gamers. Hence why all pro e-sports players are quite young. You won't find a 40 year old who could truly compete with them. At best, they could hold their own and maybe do well enough for it to be entertaining.

I don't think it's a terrible idea if those players only get kill count, and "ghost drops", meaning they have logged drops for the sake of titles, but they don't actually get the items. No xp rewards, none of that stuff. This can give them a better chance at earning Completionist Cape, or a title, or what have you. If this is implemented well, it could give those less-capable players a fighting chance. And of course, this shouldn't be done nearly as frequently as DXPW. Or even add some rare item drop that the skilled players can sell, that allow the inept losers like us to perform far better when soloing/playing with others also using said item. Then the skilled players can turn a tidy profit from it as well!

Wouldn't that essentially equate to quadrupled XP for combat then?

Not to mention flooding the game with drops even more than usual...

Thank you for your support. There are a lot of us who play the game who are in our 60/70's with athritic fingers. I am not asking for drops just the chance to get the kill counts for the completionist.

Have you considered not going for comp? Its so bizarre that, in a sandbox game, where you can do whatever the hell you want, when there's nearly 2 decades of content to play through, yet people choose to work towards a goal that they abhor or are not able to achieve. Everyday you'll see at least 1 person complaining about some comp or trim req, even though they're not forced to complete them, even though there's plenty of other things you can do. I can't understand why so many people feel the need to set comp/trim as their goal and then simultaneously complain about said goal.

Why can't people be more like my friend who isn't even max but has done 15k clues (since log). Or another who's helping run a cw fc and has 2k gc but isn't even working on trim. Or another who has over 21k runescore but isn't even maxed.
