Entering my Player owned house will crash my game and log me out of the client unless I enter it in build mode. When I log back it an error shows up saying 'Malformed login packet. Please try again.' It was working fine a couple of hours ago. Tried resetting my browser, deleting cache and restarting computer no luck so far. Any help?

After reading up on your problem, this error often occurs to people using AMD graphics cards, or people using RuneLite with the GPU plugin on. Are any of these true in your case?

Usually that error indicates a connection issue from your ISP to the RuneScape server. But it's kinda weird that build mode works.

I know that when people can't get into Citadel because it logs them out, using a VPN like Hotspot Shield lets them enter the Citadel. So I wonder if using a VPN would let you enter your POH.

Since you've already deleted the cache, I think this might be a connection issue. I'd advise you to try the Common Connection Solutions! And if you're still having trouble, there is a link on that support article to contact Jagex.

Let me know if this helps. :)

I've done all I can with my connection to try and fix this but its still br0ke nearly two weeks later, this is literally the only thing in the game giving me this problem.

Im giving up at this point, I just want to get some pets out of my menagerie and not waste millions deleting rooms to try and fix it

Ok so I finally figured out what caused all this shit.

My chapel was too close to the edge of the map (literally right on the edge) and for some reason this gave me the 'malformed login packet' error.

I deleted it and the glory amulet room next to it and now my house is back to normal. Probably something jagex should REALLY look into...

Hey Chzell, that's some hella impressive detective work! Since you've managed to capture the bug so precisely, I'm sure Jagex would be thrilled to have that information on hand.

You can see how to report a bug here

They might not get back to you directly, but managing to find the exact conditions to that level is a fantastic job and I'm sure they'll appreciate it if you send it their way :)

I have a the similar issue.

I was extending the dungeon and when I returned to the ground level the map had moved to accommodate the dungeon underneath. In doing so it has removed two rooms that where previously there. So I deleted some of the dungeon rooms I added to see if would reset the map. This did not reset the map. So I added some rooms to the dungeon so that it would extend the map back to its original position.

I can now enter the house in both normal and build mode. However now I have 2 less rooms ( they are still counted on the total number of rooms ). There is also now a roof over two of the gardens. which I can only assume somehow is from the 2 missing rooms.

If anyone has any ideas, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Mikey
