The Kinshra Knights
°ï‡ï°

Welcome to the Kinshra Knights roleplay group
. The black armor wearing baddies from Asgarnia are back in the spotlights once more in another take on the groups' themes. With a casual schedule and a creative approach regarding the server's low player population we still hope to together create:

Development of a Kinshra character as you interact with the groups' members.
Interaction between the kingdoms of World 42 and the Kinshra .
Enjoyment of the Zamorakian and antagonistic themes the Kinshra are all about.

And of course many other things you can think of that would make for a good and fun Kinshra narrative. You can read all the information you need to join the group here but don't be afraid to ask questions if you have any.

Friends Chat: None in use atm.
World: 42

Types of roleplay that involve Kinshra

Before you join you must know a thing. This is an antagonist faction in the lore of Gielinor and thus will be treated so by the participants of this group. These characters are the scheming criminals, the backstabbing brutes and glorious conquerors of this world.

Just because they are all united under the Kinshra Banner, doesn’t mean you are safe from antagonistic acts even when you are part of the group itself. To give you a general idea why you should join these Zamorakian Knights,
here’s what the group offers you:

1. Generic casual ‘evil’ roleplay
in one of the most visually stunning forts in the entire game! Come sparring with fellow group members in the training room. Plot your next move against your foes with the other Lords sat at the dining table. Gossip with fellow squires as you attend a ceremony in the ritual chamber. You get the idea.

2. Events will be hosted every now and then
to stimulate a bit of interaction within the group itself. These can range from raiding nearby settlements with a group of knights, to religious ceremonies, all the way to long plots that will drag you all over Gielinor as you go about your Kinshra business.

3. Interaction outside the group
is also something we’d like to offer and stimulate. This will include things like political schemes and attacks on areas actually used by other groups. The Kinshra as a group are well aware that antagonism isn’t always appreciated by groups that directly experience it in their group. We shall always enter the dialogue around making this happen open minded and keep in mind the ‘fun’ of the other group.

The above mentioned things are merely examples.
If you have your own ideas about what the Kinshra can do, tell us.

General pointers for your character
°ï‡ï°

As mentioned before, this is an antagonist roleplay group. We roleplay the baddies and so, we ask something a little bit extra of those that sign up to roleplay with this group. By all means,
these are not rules set in stone
that all members should comply to, you are free to do so as you please when you come with good arguments to do so. But, to prevent unwanted out-of-character issues and to keep the group fun for everyone,
here's some tips for your character:

1. Do not take things personally.
If a Kinshra member is plotting against another member, we stress that this is only an in-character interaction. The roleplayers themselves should not be subject to the motives of for example sabotage, spying or assaults. We are antagonists. We go beyond some moral boundaries that for example hero, noble and civilian characters wouldn’t go to. Please, keep in mind that this for the sake of keeping an antagonist narrative, not to make you feel unsafe and unwelcome as a person!

2. We work with a system of ranks.
This means that it is generally a good idea, for the continuity of your character and your own fun, to accept that you are not always the one calling the shots. Obey the orders and show respect someone of a lower rank would do, in-character. Out-of-character, ranks mean virtually nothing other than to help you find the right person to talk to.

3. Make your character fitting
for the roleplay groups’ themes. The Kinshra tend to stick to Zamorakian, antagonistic and Asgarnia based roleplay. Take a good look what you find amongst their ranks and you’ll quickly see no Icyenes, Trolls or Vampyres there. We do not do this to ban out the snowflakes, but again, to keep the narrative realistic, serious and fitting for the themes of the group.

A small display of characters involved for easy information in case you want In-Character contact with the Kinshra. These are the key characters that are able to steer the narrative more easily than others might. Sending letters to these is often a way to get things started In-Game.

Military leadership:

• Baroness Carmen Dresler, a noble and a socialite first class, training herself and the new recruits in the Taverley base these days. Known to take a rather reclusive and protectionist way of leading the Kinshra and often opts for diplomacy over military action when tensions arise.

Zamorakian Influentials:

• High Priest ????, main preacher within Black Knights’ Fortress. Relatively young for the title, this extremely charismatic figure gives his own touch to Zamorakianism so that it sticks to the opinions of the common man. Open and kind as he may seem, he stoically hates Saradomism.

Economic benefactors:

• Captain ????, a Kinshra who participated in the Sacking of Kharid and now commands a small pirate fleet. With great expertise of schemes and bribery, she makes sure that a portion of her collected riches gets to the people who gave her the opportunity all those years ago.

Becoming a Kinshra

To join the Kinshra, simply fill in the character application to show us that you are interested in this group. Besides doing this, we also offer the option to reach out to any, if not all, of our members for you to get involved through in-game roleplay interactions. This can range from directly getting recruited, to a less casual but very flavourful abduction.
Here’s the application:

Upcoming events

The population of the roleplay server is currently low. Planned out and big multi-group effecting events and plots are something this Kinshra group isn't willing to facilitate or show heavy commitment to at the moment. That is, me personally. Others are still welcome to give it a try and if I can be of help with this please do let me know.

Given this situation, the current incarnation of the Kinshra Knights will approach the (Player-Owned) roleplay scene in a more casual setting with less of a hardcore dedication to it all than in the times before. I'll keep this post up here for now but please don't set your expectations too high and try to interact with the Kinshra through letters, casual meetings and other down to earth themes we'll gladly join in on as best we can.

Kinshra Status & Recent News
°ï‡ï°

A bit of information about the current status of what the group has been up to.

Current Kinshra status:

Looming.
The Kinshra Knights are involved into kingdom interaction with Asgarnia as per usual.

_____________________________________________________________

This is where people can come up with news that involves the group and others that might interact with the Kinshra Knights:

Recent News:

• The Grand Master of the Order of White Knights has assumed the office of Regent as Jacob Delvar turns out to be Lord Pyro.

• Opportunism in Burthorpe causes it to fall into the hands of a new ruler as the coup in Falador continues to cause turmoil in Asgarnia.

• The Baroness and Grandmaster meet again and they renew their old truce. The condition being that the Black Knights will be left alone as they go about the situation in Burthorpe.

• The Kinshra Order made their first foundations to a more entrenched position in White Wolf Mountain.

• The Kinshra will be stewarding Burthorpe, as they have started to round up all that shared the sympathies of Commander Reldan.]

Areas of Influence
°ï‡ï°

This post will briefly explain where and how the Kinshra are active in the world of Gielinor. The categories used will mostly be generic areas and not go into depth about every little detail. People currently roleplaying In-Game are free to interpret this Kinshra groups’ place in their own narrative and we hope these can give some pointers as to how you can.

Northern Asgarnia

A forest and mountain rich area stretching from Taverley to the Wilderness border where the Kinshra are most active. The Kinshra have great influence here and will often act confident and direct regarding the manners here. Diplomacy and war seesaw their way through nearly all the affairs here. With many different races and religions all coming together in this region it’s no surprise this is a hotspot for both conflict and culture. Your pick.

Southern Asgarnia

The areas around Rimmington and Port Sarim are not areas you will often run into the Kinshra. The ones you do meet will be around the Port, keeping a low profile as they are probably going about a shady deal of some sorts. We can pull some strings here and there but it’s mostly small favors and bargains we offer to you in these places. The typical shady Zamorakians.

The White City of Falador

Home of their eternal rivals, the White Knights, there is no Kinshra influence to be found within Falador. The Kinshra that do venture into Falador keep their status within the Order a secret as they visit for either espionage or a time for some peace and quiet. Only a foolish black knight would casually walk into this place still wearing their colors, unless they’re raiding of course.

Military bases
°ï‡ï°

These are places in Gielinor where the Kinshra Knights have entrenched themselves permanently. Aware of opinions on scripted roleplay, landclaims, invasions and NPC use we hope that other groups take an effort to talk about the possibilities when they want to get themselves involved in these places. This post is a respectfull reminder of how important these places are for this groups’ In-Game roleplay experience and narrative followed. The players involved In-Game that are with this groups’ Kinshra In-Character will be playing at a significant advantage.

The Black Knights' Fortress

Built near the Wilderness in Northern Asgarnia, the Kinshra Fortress serves as an impenetrable bunker for all Black Knights. This is where the Kinshra come to train themselves, practise their Zamorakian faith, hoard their riches and discipline their enemies. With cannons aimed out at all sides, Black Knights in every room of the castle and theatrical Zamorakian practises on display the fortress makes for an intimidating and incredibly dangerous place to be for outsiders. There’s a snitch in every shadow and imps in your underwear drawer.
Don’t try anything funny here, the Kinshra will know.

Black Knights' Base

Behind the tunnels of the Taverley Dungeon lies the Black Knights’ Base, a small holding in Northern Asgarnia where the Black Knights have established a trimmed down concept of the things happening in the Kinshra Fortress. It comes with an entrance swarming with monsters, adding to the Base’s ability to defend itself against enemies and keep a firm grip on what comes in and goes out of there. It has dormitories, storage, jailcells and a nifty map table in case the Kinshra ever feel like invading Falador again.

Diplomacy
°ï‡ï°

This post will give an overview on the Kinshra allies and enemies. Note that if something is missing, it is either something this Kinshra Knights group does not interact with or is unaware of existing. Any remarks about who and what goes where can be talked about, preferably through In-Game roleplay.

Hostile:

These are the beings/things that directly form a threat to what this Kinshra Group currently holds dear. Very bad news in case we cross paths. Not to be meddled with on your own and treated with caution and distrust.

• The Elder God threat

Tolerated:

Not beings/things this group would call an ally but not something that needs to be stomped out immediately. We are on our toes around them, stay polite and well-mannered but prefer to keep them at a distance. We make it known when we want the distance.

• The Regent of Asgarnia
• The Order of the White Knights
• Lord Pyro
• The new Kandarin leadership

Acceptable:

The ones that have proven themselves to be a loyal asset to this Kinshra group and have no reason to be under the loop for suspicion, thus far. We can be relaxed and more open when with these folk/places, but we're still Kinshra so keep a low profile either way.

• Zamorak Magical Institute
• The Kingdom of Thieves
