WHAT IS THE RSWL? HOW DOES IT WORK?

The RS Warring League (RSWL) is a P2P purple portal clan wars competition. It consists of several ladders, reflecting different types of wars (such as fullout or matched). The aim of the clans participating is to fight their way to the #1 rank in the ladders they are in. Clans holding those spots can claim to be one of the strongest warring clans in RS3.

A ladder is a list of clans (or teams), ordered by warring strength. To take the place of a team that is above you in a ladder, you need to challenge that team to a war. If you win, you take their spot and they move down one. If you lose, no change happens to the ladder.

If no team challenges any other, nothing happens in the RSWL. So if your clan signs up, please be prepared to challenge and be challenged.

For more information on RSW procedures, such as challenging and being challenged, please see here.

For a list of ladders, please see here.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I would like to war with friends, but they are not in the same clan as me. Can we war together?
Yes. However, read this post carefully for the exact rules on memberlists.

Our clan/team is new and bad at warring. Does that mean we should not join?
Starting to war is intimidating for many new clans. The Clan Wars Guide is aimed at helping new clans integrate. The RSW also gives beginner clans certain benefits to help them out a bit and and has ladders where armour and weapons are restricted, for those clans who are not rich enough to the best equipment. So if you think warring looks fun, give it a shot and see how it goes!

Not many people in our clan turn up to events, is it worth joining?
If your clan cannot bring at least 10 people to war, it may not be worth signing up right now. You can war with less, but even in a matched war, the other clan is not obliged to drop their number below 10 so you will be at a disadvantage.

How often would we have to war if we joined a ladder?
This depends on how often your clan challenges and gets challenged. The minimum is one war every 2 months, but wars may also be more frequent.

We joined the ladder but noone is warring us. Why?
To schedule a war in the RSW you need to challenge the clan above you in the ladder or wait for the clan below you to challenge you. If you are not getting a war but would like one, you should make a challenge. Click here for instructions on how to challenge a clan.

How do we challenge another clan/team?
See here.

Are there any rewards for winning?
For now the only rewards are pride and glory :P More concrete rewards are being discussed - suggestions are welcome :)

BEGINNERS

All clans joining the RSW will be classified as beginners until they have fought and won 3 wars (wins by forfeit do not count).

We are aware that joining the clan wars scene may be intimidating for most new clans. You will be up against clans who have better gear and more experience so the start will be a test of resolve. Success is largely down to the will of your clan, but the RSW offers some small perks for beginners. These include:

- Immunity which applies to all ladders while a war is scheduled.
- Greater priority for finding a warring mentor who can help train and advise your clan.
- Some leniency on punishments. The degree of leniency is at the discretion of the RSW Council.
- A beginner's clan activity period in the RSW can be reset by having a friendly war with any other RSW clan, rather than by a ranked war.
- A TeamSpeak that can be used by beginner clans who do not have their own

HOW TO CHALLENGE ANOTHER CLAN

Step 1:
Find the ladder you are participating in (ladders are on page 2) and pick the clan you want to challenge

Step 2:
Make a new declaration thread in the Clan Warring forum and fill it out as explained here. If you are unsure about this step, leave a post on this thread to ask for assistance.

Step 3:
Make sure your opponent knows of the declaration by some means e.g. contacting them in-game or posting on their thread.

Step 4:
Wait for your opponent's response and negotiate if needed. 1 week maximum is allowed for negotiation, starting from the creation of the thread. The date of the war must be within 3 weeks of the creation of the thread.

Step 5:
If asked to, clan-teams must post their memberlist on the declaration thread at least 24 hours before scheduled war time.

IMPORTANT NOTES

- Clans may declare up to 3 ranks above them in a ladder.
- Declarations made earlier are given priority over those made later.
- Clans that have fought cannot declare on each other again in the same ladder for 7 days since the scheduled time of the war that was fought.
- Further rules on immunity, anti-immunity and setting up a war clan be found here.

HOW TO RESPOND TO A CHALLENGE

Step 1:
Find the war declaration thread posted by the clan challenging you.

Step 2:

- Post on the thread saying you accept, start negotiating or decline the war within 3 days of the thread's creation.
- If you accept but do not agree with the terms, make a post suggesting new terms.

DISPUTES

HOW TO RAISE A DISPUTE

If you notice your opponent is breaking the RSW rules, you should:

1 - Let an actionary council member know you want to file a dispute within 24 hours of the end of the war.
2 - Gather evidence of the offence to present to the Council.
Note:
For the Council to make a decision, the evidence provided should not be open to multiple interpretations. Evidence should have a timestamp and show context to be useful. Ideally there should be no editing at all; screenshots should be of the full screen.

3 - Your opponent will be asked to present evidence to defend their case, unless the offence took place solely on the forums.
4 - The RSW Council will then confer and make a decision using the evidence provided.

Not following these guidelines may prevent the Council from taking full action against the offending clan.

PUNISHMENTS

If a rule is proven to have been broken, action taken will match any punishment specified as part of that rule. If no punishment is specified, action is at the discretion of the RSW Council and may include, but is not limited to:

- Other

Leniency:

- Leniency may be given to beginner clans until their beginner status is over.

MEMBERLIST RULES - TYPES OF MEMBERLISTS

Memberlists dictate who is part of a clan or team - they can only use a player in a war if he/she is on their memberlist. There are some rules regarding memberlists, though. They are detailed below.

A participant in the RSW may choose one of three memberlist types:

Official Clans:

- The official clans in RuneScape
- Can only bring players on its official memberlist (such as this one) to a war
- They do NOT need to post a memberlist on request.

Clan Teams:

- An official clan that can also bring up to 10 non-official-clan members to a war
- If requested by the opposing clan, an updated 10 player memberlist must be posted on the respective declaration thread at least 24 hours before the scheduled war time

Full Teams:

- A team with no ties to an official clan so their memberlist may contain anyone
- Can only participate in the Warband-style ladder

MEMBERLIST RULES - REGULAR v WARBAND-STYLE

REGULAR LADDER MEMBERLIST RULES

- Apply to all ladders except Warband-style
- You may only field players who are part of your memberlist.
- You may only war for one clan or clan-team in the RSW.
- If a player hops clan or clan-team, they must wait a week before fighting for their new clan.
- Official mentors may war for both their clan and the team they are mentoring in Gamer's Grotto ladders, as long as the clan being mentored is not in the top 4 for that ladder.

WARBAND-STYLE LADDER MEMBERLIST RULES

- There is no need to post a memberlist for any warband-style war
- Multiclanning is allowed
- Teams that are fielding pretty much the same players as each other may be 'paired' or removed from the warband-style ladder

Rules for pairing teams:

- Teams may be paired or unpaired by the Council. This will be handled via the dispute procedure.
- Paired teams must both have legitimate memberbases with legitimate and independent purposes. E.g. a clan and a warbands fc.
- Paired teams may not declare on each other.
- Paired teams share anti-immunity.
- Paired teams share the 7 day period within which they cannot declare on a team they have just fought.

WHEN SETTING UP AN RSW WAR

When challenging:

- The rules are explained as part of the procedure here.

When responding:

- The rules are explained as part of the procedure here.

Negotiations and preparations for the war:

- If clan-teams are asked to post their memberlist, it must be posted on the declaration thread at least 24 hours before the war. It cannot be edited within 24 hours of the war. Otherwise, the clan may ask for a forfeit before the war starts.
- If clans cannot agree on terms for their war within the week allowed, the RSW Council will choose for them and impose default rules where they exist.
- Failing to turn up to a war that has been scheduled without sufficient warning will result in the offending clan being dropped by three ranks.

Immunity:

- Immunity allows a clan to decline or postpone accepting any other challenges in the same ladder without dropping ranks.
- Immunity lasts from the time a declaration thread is posted until a week after the scheduled time of the war that has been fought. If a war is cancelled, the immunity ends immediately.
- If multiple clans challenge rank 1 within 12 hours of the previous war for it, priority goes to the clan that has not fought for rank 1 for the longest time.
- For other ranks the first to declare gets priority.
- Clans may only renew their challenge with priority during the first day after immunity ends.

Anti-Immunity:

- Anti-immunity prevents a clan from declaring in a ladder.
- Declining = 5 days anti-immunity
- Declining while on immunity = anti-immunity until the end of immunity

DEFAULT RULES

When negotiating the terms of a war, the competitors can agree to any rules they wish. Note that only terms agreed to by both sides on the declaration thread will be considered; in-game agreements do not count.

In case the two sides cannot agree on certain rules, the default rules are imposed.

Ladder-specific default rules:

- The default rules specific to each ladder can be found at the top of the ladder standings on this page.

General default rules:

- Each war will be the best of 3 battles.
- Clans may negotiate to use any combat style but the default style is EoC.
- Default EoC world is 66.
- Default Legacy world is 137.
- Defenders follow the same restrictions as shields.
- Augmented equipment is allowed.

BEHAVIOUR

- Jagex rules apply.

- Excessive time-wasting is not tolerated and the opposing clan may choose to ask for a forfeit.
Guidelines include starting the first round within 10 minutes of the scheduled war time, not taking over 5 mins to match numbers and not taking over 5 mins to start subsequent rounds.

- Mass recruiting for a war will result in a forfeit.
This will be investigated on a case-by-case basis, but only for wars where the clan pulls over 30 and where more than 20% of the clan’s pull at the war were recruited in the past week.

- Merging will result in action being taken on the clan's position in the RSW.
Merging with another RSW clan will result in the clan being dropped to the bottom of all ladders. Merging with a clan outside the RSW may result in the clan being dropped to the bottom of any fullout ladders it is in. Determining whether a merge has occurred and whether it is significant enough to action is at the discretion of the RSW Council.

- Flaming or otherwise causing distress to clans at a war is not tolerated. Action may include bans from the RSW for both individuals and clans. If the rule is broken by many members of the same clan, that clan will forfeit any war it has scheduled and drop by one rank in all ladders it is in.
This will be dealt with if evidence is provided of it occuring anywhere in-game or on the forums, except locked clan chats. If not at a war or on the Clan Warring forums, the evidence must show it is clearly warring-related though. We will not go out of our way to search for flame - unless it's on the RSW-related thread or platform, an issue must be raised via an appopriate dispute to result in action.

GAMEPLAY

- Ladder-specific default rules can be found at the top of each ladder's scoreboard on this page.
- Breaking any terms decided in the negotiation thread may result in a forfeit. The opposing clan may choose to win the war by forfeit or not in some cases.
- Terms decided in-game are not binding. Only those in the negotiation thread count.
- Having players with very similar names war on the same team is not allowed. The Council will decide on how similar the names are.
- Failing to turn up to a war that has been scheduled without sufficient warning will result in the offending clan being dropped by two ranks.

The first attack:

- Players cannot stall adrenaline in the time between they enter the arena and the round's first clash.
- The first attack in a matched war may not commence until both clans have the same numbers (unless one clan has fewer than 10). A rematch will ensue if this rule is broken the first time. If broken again, the offending clan forfeits.

- The suggested (not a strict rule) turns for a best of 3 match are:
---- Round 1 - challenging clan attacks
---- Round 2 - challenging clan defends
---- Round 3 - north spawn attacks

ACTIVITY

- Clans deemed inactive will be moved to the bottom of all ladders they are in. A period of inactivity is defined as follows:
--- If a clan declines 3 challenges in a row
--- If a clan does not accept or make any challenges for 3 months

- Clans deemed inactive for two consecutive periods may be removed from the RSW

COUNCIL RULES

Behaviour

- All RS rules apply
- No flaming, in the Council chat or in the areas defined by RSW flaming rules

Removal from the Council

- Losing an Actionary or Discursive Council no-confidence vote results in removal from all areas of the Council, although the member may be re-invited at a later date.

Additions to the Council

- Applications are submitted on an RSW Council Application thread for both Actionary and Discursive Councils. They are then voted on by the current Discursive Council.
- An 80% majority is needed to pass to the next selection stage, where successful applicants are voted on after being grouped by clan. If there is not enough space in the council for the top applicant in each clan, they may be voted on a third and last time against each other.
- If there is a need to replace the Chairman, any member of the Discursive Council may propose him/herself for the role. An initial vote in the Discursive Council will determine who the top 2 applicants are. A further vote between the top 2 will determine the new Chairman.

HISCORE CALCULATION

These hiscores add together the points each clan has in every ladder to give a full hiscore list per section (Matched, Fullout, Warband-style).

1st in a ladder = 5 points
2nd = 4 points
3rd = 3 points
4th = 2 points
5th = 1 points
6th = 1.5/2 points
7th = 1.5/3 points
etc...
10th = 0.25 points
11th = 0.25 points
etc...

Yay another nice present from y'all to surprise me as I wake up in the morning, much love ^^

Flame, bait, offtopic posts, advertising clans + quotes removed again.
The Actionary Council will also be reviewing the situation to decide if any action needs to be taken on some players in their next war(s).

Hey Beagle, after checking your clan page it appears you have 5 F2P members and an average total level of ~350, strongly suggesting the app above is a troll. On those grounds Pink Dinosaur's application has been declined.

My in-game pm is always on though, so hit me a message if you need to clarify anything. Thanks

Pardon me for remaining highly suspicious :P

If you're looking to get into warring I'd really suggest working on your stats somewhat first. With combat stats sub 50 it's honestly not worth warring. I'd suggest ~70-80ish absolute minimum for restricted wars at least.

Perhaps you have higher level members on your clan team though? What would your clan team memberlist be?

I'm away atm and am not as available as usual but if both sides send me evidence for their disputes over Skype we'll look into it asap. If anyone recorded the event that would be great.

The application will also be discussed in the Council.

A couple of updates:

1 - Challenging
Clans and teams are now allowed to challenge for any other rank above them in their ladder. Priority for declarations is given to whoever makes them first. The exception to this is in cases where a clan/team rechallenges the same opponent again during the week of immunity, in which case the declaration has the lowest priority until the end of immunity. i.e. Any other challenge made in the week of immunity will take priority, even if made afterwards.

2 - Activity Requirements
Being inactive will now result in being dropped to the bottom of all ladders, since this is now a lesser punishment given the ability to challenge on any rank above you.

Activity is also now defined as:
Original message details are unavailable.
--- If a clan declines 3 challenges in a row
--- If a clan neither challenges nor accepts any challenges for 2 consecutive months

Clans deemed inactive for two consecutive periods will be removed from all ladders.

Finally, beginner clans may reset their period of activity by challenging any RSW clan or team (regardless of the ladder) to a friendly war. The friendly war will not affect rankings but must have reasonable terms.

3 - Warband-style restriction changes
Sagaie switches are now allowed
Mage offhands are now allowed up to t80

4 - Name Change
This League was initially intended to be a private competition between allied clans, hence the name Allied Warring League. The intention behind the name has been irrelevant for a while, leading to misconceptions about the nature of the ladders. A name change has finally been made to RS Warring League - RSW or RSWL for short - to erase that issue.

All the best to all RS3 warrers :)

Quick update regarding gear restrictions

Augmented Equipment
The Council's decision was to keep augmented equipment ON for the time being.

Since we cannot differentiate between perks from the equipment screen, the choice was between allowing all perks or disallowing all perks. For now, perks are not too overpowered and pretty easily accessible to most, and we'd like to avoid pushing warrers to buy two sets of weapons (one for restricted and one for unrestricted). We felt augmented equipment were within the bounds of the restricted ladder. If perks are changed so that it becomes much harder/expensive to attain ones that are relatively much more powerful, we will revise the restriction again.

Defenders
With regards to restrictions, defenders are regarded as shields and follow the same restrictions as them.

e.g. In the warbands-style ladder, defenders are capped at t70

Both updates have been added into the default rules post.

Wicked Knights of Ni have been added to both Gamer's Grotto matched ladders. Welcome to the RSW! :)

Original message details are unavailable.
If you get more in the RCW ladders we'll come back. ILY always though

Much luff :P

Seems clans are more comfortable with Gamer's Grotto atm but hopefully some will join RCW as well. Ofc if RoG joins it might help get others to join as well ;)

Wrs and WE have been dropped to the bottom of all ladders as they have not set up a war (ranked or friendly) in over two months. W F has been dropped to the bottom of all ladders for declining three consecutive challenges. -

Hey Le Papaya, the application is appreciated but it seems everyone on the rep list for DE is either F2P or ~1200 total, which realistically won't work for the warbands ladder so I won't add DE into the ladder for now. I have added 2coldkilla in-game though; if he pms me we can have a chat about this. -

Thanks for the posts 99 :)

Multiclanning:

I wouldn't want to remove the warbands ladder either :P

From what I understand, your idea is to cap the amount of players teams can have in the warbands ladder? If so, this would make it easier for the reps to keep track of their memberlists as they would be smaller, but it would still require memberlist rules to work properly. I'm not sure it would encourage more people to war though. For example, say the memberlists are capped at 20 people, and a warbands fc has 23 people interested in warring. The extra 3 wouldn't be able to participate or form their own team. Not to mention that managing to pull enough to war takes discipline or a large memberlist - if we were to reduce team memberlists it would be difficult for the teams made from 'extras' to successfully manage their team.

Imo there are two main solutions to multiclanning in the wbs ladder:

1 - Add memberlist rules. This would require team reps to keep track of and repeatedly post a large memberlist, which is of course a pain and can easily lead to disputes and drama if neglected (hence why we haven't done it so far).

2 - A dispute-resolution approach. The issue people have isn't so much multiclanning, but excessive multiclanning. If a clan is accused of such, we could keep a tab on the players that participate in their next 2-3 wars. If it becomes clear the participants are indeed pretty much the same then the teams can be merged (and take the rank of the higher ranked team).

(answering next two sections in a bit)

Immunity
Honestly I'm personally ambivalent on this. There needs to be some immunity to give clans a bit of a break and prevent spam challenging. Whether it's 3 days or a week I honestly don't think makes much of a difference since wars are held on weekends anyway, so as long as it's not over a week the negotiated time of the war will end up being the same in 90% of the cases.

Time required for a war to occur
Atm, a war must occur within 3 weeks of the declaration. The reasoning behind giving several weeks is mainly threefold:

1 - Being ranked wars, clans/teams want to be on their best form and choose the optimal time and day. Allowing a couple of weekends of choice makes this easier.
2 - Clans are in multiple ladders and could have up to 6 challenges at once, so a few weeks to fight in gives them the chance to spread out the wars.
3 - Especially on holidays, exam time etc, it may be very inconvenient to war on one or two of the nearest weekends.

You may argue 3 weeks is still too long, others claim 2 weeks is too short. All I can say is that 1 week is too short and 4 weeks too long :P

It would be upsetting to remove people from tb as we have to many people from a certain clan. I believe that a better way to do this would be to put a limit on the amount of people that have warred for a different team in the ladder. So say pvma had warred recently in the wbs ladder and we had a tb war coming up out of me tin kayne kristaps aus and zappy only 3 of them would be able to participate in a round.

Could work but it would require tracking of who participated in every war for every team. Possible, yes - if there's someone reliable at every war who can keep take note of participants. Not sure if it would work out as well as intended but definitely an idea to keep in mind :)

What did you think of point 2 (the dispute resolution approach)? Basically it's very similar to what you proposed, but only requiring monitoring for clans against who a plausible dispute has been lodged.

@Shyvana - the amount one can declare ahead is on my list to look into :) Thanks for your input on immuniy and stalling as well :)

@99 - An abuse of multiclanning would be described based on who actually warred. So if Team A and Team B are accused of abusing it, then they would be made to converge if 80-90%+ of those who warred for Team A also warred for Team B, over several different fights. It's not pretty, but I guess no solution to this is really convenient =/

Regarding your idea on priority, if a clan declares it doesn't mean they can necessarily war right away. Also, it isn't limited to just 2 clans declaring at the same time - if 6 all declare on the same clan under immunity, do we have to have a mini tournament to work out who gets to challenge? :P The way it works currently is fine tbh :P

@Carbon - Zappy's idea has been proposed by various people from different fcs over the past few days so we'll defo be discussing that dw :)
Btw having an allied team declare on you is fine, as it only works for one challenge due to priority rules. Whether an ally did it to stall is a matter of opinion - it is very possible that an allied clan may challenge for legitimate reasons tbh. All that really matters is the extent of multiclanning, which is revealed concretely by noting who participates in wars.

Turn the RSW from a ladder into a league
As some people have already mentioned, a league isn't that much more time consuming to run than an active ladder for the organisers. However, the participants would have to war consistently on a tight schedule (in order to fit in all the matches) for a league to run properly - not many would be able to realistically keep that up for an extended period of time (many clans get worn out just by participating in the month long JCup for example). A ladder provides a much more relaxed warring experience for clans, as they can decide when they are ready to take on a war to a greater extent without severely comprising their standing, which is especially beneficial to non-hardcore warring clans. While ladders do have their issues, they are the best form to use for a long-run tournament.

Priority
I can see how everyone rushing to challenge the millisecond after a war is over could be an issue. However, making the first two declarers fight each other for the right to take up a declaration seems too time consuming tbh. Not to mention that it doesn't really eliminate the first-come-first-served feel, since it would then be a rush to be first or second to challenge, rather than just first.

Thinking about it last night, I came up with potentially simpler solution.
o If multiple clans challenge rank 1 within 12 hours of the previous war for it, priority goes to the clan that has not fought for rank 1 for the longest time

So essentially that would give clans a 12 hour window to calmly make their declaration. It also helps rotate the challengers for a rank so that it isn't always the same people challenging. Let me know what you think.

Time required for a war to occur
When talking to Prod yesterday, he suggested a middle-ground idea which I believe could work.
- The standard amount of time for a war to occur could be reduced to two weeks
- If a clan has 3 or more RSW wars on at once, they get one extra week to schedule them in

Immunity
To clarify, immunity is not a way to skimp out of a war. It just postpones for a week the need to accept and negotiate, in order to give clans a small break if they want it. Personally I think one week is fine to that purpose, especially if there is a reduction in the time required for a war to occur.

On a side note, I've just added 'removal of the right to immunity' to the list of possible punishments.

Clans who have declined a war should not be able to instantly declare again
We will discuss adding anti-immunity (removal of the right to declare) in certain circumstances, including declining wars.

Clans should not redeclare for a rank they just lost
There is already a rule to prevent this. However, the way Zappy worded it is clearer so I'll probably be replacing the current wording with his version :P

Amount of ranks that can be challenged ahead
Considering reducing this as it feels a bit off to have clans join and immediately challenge for #1, for example. It would also give more reason to challenge for higher ranks, in order to get closer to a rank that can challenge on #1. However, I don't want to reduce it too much as that compromises the flexibility of the ladder.

Dealing with excessive multiclanning in the wbs ladder
Massive can of worms. Won't be rushing into any decisions on this, we'll be considering the possible options and brainstorming for new ones in order to try and find one that won't hurt the simplicity of the ladder too much.

===

Note these are my opinions. I may have missed certain arguments so there is no absolute guarantee that things will be changed exactly as described above.

Heads up to everyone that I made a summary post on the previous page in response to the posts overnight. Please take a read

Original message details are unavailable.
Taking into account calms post above you get 1 week immunity if you chose to take it which almost everyone will, 3 days to accept but 7 days to negotiate and up to 2 weeks to war in. So other words 4 weeks you'll get a war.

That is incorrect. The 7 days to negotiate are part of the time allowed for a war to occur in. From the time a declaration thread is made, you currently have 3 weeks to war in. This would be 2 weeks if the changes proposed are implemented. So whether clans take longer to negotiate makes no difference on when the war has to be fought by.

Original message details are unavailable.
Sounds like you may swell allow team banter to make that second team like we wanted to do over 3 months ago

The difference here is that TB would have created that second team purely for the purpose of multiclanning with it. On the other hand, SAPK and LC were not so closely related at first because they both exist independly without each other, they are both legitimate communities with different purposes. Over time those interested in warring joined each others community, leading to them currently being similar.

It is also worth noting that SAPK and LC are definitely not the only participants in the ladder who have had this issue, or that may realistically be exposed to it in the future. So let's not point fingers at each other when discussing issues. Instead, let's keep the discussion generalised so as to not antagonise and focus on solutions you believe might benefit the RSW as a whole.

Another thing I would be happy to see is the ability to declare on lower ranked teams, with no penalty to the latter for declining your war, would give the higher ranked teams more flexibility somewhat atleast.

Wouldn't that be exactly the same as organising a friendly?

Original message details are unavailable.
Also will newer clans be given priority in challenging on immunity or will it be solely time based?

I assume this is a question about the proposed priority rule in my post a page back. A new clan has never warred for that rank before so they would get priority over a clan that has. If neither clan has warred for the rank then it would go back to who posted first.

The above sounds a bit meh. However, consider that it will probably be implemented alongside a reduction of the amount of ranks you can challenge ahead, so new clans wouldn't be able to immediately challenge for the desirable ranks. Also, the issue with priority is largely exclusive to challenging for rank 1, so I've tweaked the rule so it only applies there, which should get rid of a bunch of issues.

RSW Changes - April
The following changes have been implemented following a Council vote.

- The priority system when declaring on rank 1 has been changed to:
If multiple clans challenge rank 1 within 12 hours of the previous war for it, priority goes to the clan that has not fought for rank 1 for the longest time.

- The amount of ranks that can be challenged ahead has been reduced 3.

- Anti-immunity (preventing a clan from challenging) has been introduced.
---- Declining = 5 days anti-immunity
---- Declining while on immunty = anti-immunity until the end of immunity

- Rule to prevent clans rechallenging each other reworded to be more clear:
Clans that have fought cannot declare on each other again in the same ladder for 7 days since the scheduled time of the war that was fought.

almost tempted to ask what people think about swapping ranks if you lose a challenge instead of going down 1. leap frogging causing lost ranks is annoying.

Going down one rank when losing is fine and makes sense. Swapping ranks when declining, maybe.

Original message details are unavailable.
Clans like kn, dox, fow, wkon, wu, tuc, and kos needs re-evaluation on ladder, otherwise the 3 ranks rule becomes tedious and stallscape.

Edit: Also we and apk from wbs ladder.

Tbh there's only one team that may not be interested in being in the ladder - I'll see if I can pm them later to check.
Honestly not too fussed about inactive clans atm. There haven't been that many declinations and those that did occur have been due to:
1 - Personal issues with the other clan
2 - Very large difference in strength between the clans

Expect the latter to be common atm because a bunch of strong clans have recently joined the ladder. A couple of clans haven't warred in a while though so I'll see if they're due a drop in rank.

'Paired teams' have been added to the warbands-ladder memberlist rules to address the issues deriving from excessive multiclanning. Apologies for adding a few more clauses - this should be the last addition to memberlist rules for the foreseeable future.

Original message details are unavailable.

Following this, SAPK and LC have been paired.

It's just a matter of interest really. We already have a lot of ladders and I prefer to be sure a bunch of clans would join if we were to add another. Atm a lot of people have actually been suggesting removing the full out ladder or replacing it with a higher matched ladder e.g. 30v30; so there definitely isn't a particular interest in fullout currently. If 6 clans say they'd definitely join a full out rcw ladder, we may consider it.

In the meantime though I'd suggest trying the gamers grotto full out ladder perhaps. If RoG can pull 100 consistently you'll most likely win as most other clans barely pull over 20/30 atm.

I remember you dislike gamers grotto though, in which case I'd suggest setting up some full out RCW friendly (not ranked in a ladder) wars and see how they go :)

Regarding thread updates, I should be able to edit it tonight.

Thread updated.

Congrats to PVMA who takes #2 in the wbs ladder.

Apoc and KOS have neglected to answer their challenges within the 3 day deadline and thus forfeit their wars automatically. Apoc drops 3 ranks for not responding while KOS drops to the bottom of all ladders as they have forfeited their 3rd war in a row.

Thanks for your interest Kastrith :)
I looked up your clan and it seems Helvetii currently only has 10 members though, which makes it very unlikely that it would be able to pull enough players to war consistently. For the moment it would not be a good idea to join a ladder but let us know when the clan is larger (30 members minimum I reckon). If you need any help with warring feel free to ask as well :)

Changes to the Warband-style ladder:

After some discussion we have made two additions to wbs-style rules.

1 - Cape switches are not allowed.
This is to combat cape hiding.

2 - Intercept is NOT allowed in the wbs-style ladder.
The reasoning behind this decision is twofold. First because intercept is not used for actual warbands and we want to render things similar where possible. Second because the rule adds variety in the style of warring covered by the RSW; a change from the other heavily intercept-dependent ladders which allows for different tactics and skills to be put to use.

As Storm has merged yet again, we have decided to impose the following restrictions on their activities:

1 - they may NOT field members from the original Shatter for 8 days.
2 - their right to immunity is removed for 2 weeks.
3 - they get dropped to the bottom of the fullout ladder, with anti-imunity (removal of the right to challenge) in that ladder for 2 weeks.
4 - their fullout against TT must take place as a friendly within RSW time limits. If they decline or pull less than 15 they drop to the bottom of all ladders.
