Hey guys,

Unless you've been AWOL for the past 12 hours, you'll have watched the 2017: the Year Ahead video on YouTube or Facebook.

The first stream of the year (17:00 Game Time, Tuesday 10th January) is going to tackle some of your questions on the multitude of updates we've mentioned in the video - so, post them below!

Think:

* Nex: Angel of Death

* Achievement System

* GameJam and passion projects (Mod Ryan's Invention update, for example)

If you have anything about the Memorial To Guthix you'd like to ask about as well, then please let us know and we'll include a section to talk about that too.

Disclaimer: As we do want to keep some information back and keep it a surprise, we won't be going into too much detail, but don't let that put you off asking questions!

What RS is missing is endgame contents for non combat skills. The need to get 99 in non combat skills is becoming less and less neccessary, maybe except for max cape. Firemaking can be implemented into conbat to make it more useful. If combatants can make a lot of money by killing bosses and getting drops, there should be drops for non combat skills as well

I was thinking about how non combat skills could become as popular as combat skills today while playing Pyramid Plunder. What if there were boss rooms for non combatants? Where they can skill and get valuable drops by chance?

Runescape should be different from other games. Not every game must be about defeating monsters and rescuing prince Mia.

- Actually, looking back to what's happened in the 6th Age with the Battle of Lumbridge and The Bird and the Beast, all the way up to the battles in The World Wakes to Nomad's Elegy and Sliske's Endgame. A few of us on the wikia were wondering what do you canonically call this overall war that's played out for Sliske and the Stone of Jas?
(we've tried using placeholders like 6th Age Conflict and Second Gielinor God Wars)

- Can you confirm if the Well of Goodwill will be opening up to take donations over the Game Jam/Double XP Weekend?
If anything I say sounds weird: I had 1 great-grand parent who was a Fortune Cookie, 1 that was a block of cheese, and 1 that was an ear of corn. Don't ask me how this make sense, 1 great-great-grand parent was an empty bag of marbles.

Yeah, this game use to be an all round game but these days it is very much focused on bosses, combat in general which I do know the majority enjoy, but this doesn't mean other areas should miss out. Something to think about.
I swear if my memory was any worse, I could surprise my own surprise party!

Agreed with this. Also, can there be more creative ways of training construction and prayer? The most xp effective method of training is the same for a long time, and the converse to that would be having players unlocking 'better' and more interesting xp rate content as they gradually level up.

With construction, from levels 73 to 99, which is a huuuge range, your best xp rate is achieved by building/destroying flotsam prawnbrokers.

With prayer, starting from level 1 to 99, the best xp rates are from offering bones on gilded altars.

Cooking, divination, and firemaking are a little more interesting, in that the mechanism is the same for training, but you unlock higher tier content. With cooking, you can cook higher leveled fish or food for decent xp. With divination, you can capture and convert higher leveled energy, and with firemaking, you can burn higher leveled logs for better xp rates.

Two of the most immersive skilling skills in my opinion are crafting and hunter, since they require more 'skillsmanship.' The higher leveled content that you unlock requires different methods of procuring or making such higher leveled content. I'm glad the mining smithing rework is being more creative in this regard, what with higher leveled armor requiring more than just bars, but pre-existing armor pieces as well.

Similar to the mining/smithing rework, I hope that the other skills in the game can be made more enjoyable to train as well. I really like some of the diversions and distractions that grant skilling xp, such as Nemiforest, since they can be immersive and cohesive ways of using the skills we've trained, to accomplish things in our journey in Runescape. The Shrine of Guthix is one such example, and skill requirements for quests are another. That honestly really brings the game together and makes things feel more cohesive and 'worth it' :)
