Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Did you like or dislike Runescape the first year you started playing it? Personally, I loved the simplicity that use to exist in Runescape Classic and Runescape 2 in it's earlier years of existence. What about you guys? :)

Excluding the frequent disconnections and lag due to worse internet connection back then, as well as an IRL friend of mine scamming me for my full steel armor, it was a fun F2P exploration experience for me back then. Did a lot of fishing for lobsters at musa point, waited for someone to make a fire, cooked them and then went to train melee to lesser demons at the volcano. > )

I loved RuneScape from the first year i started playing and still do to this day. Back then, the most annoying part was loading the game on Dial-up, i used to have to leave the computer for about ~30 mins waiting for it to load lol.
I used to spend hours at the general store in Lumbridge, waiting for someone to sell something good, but was never quick enough to purchase anything, since it used to be packed, so anything good that got sold to the store got sniped instantly lol.

my first year of rs was different then most, we had a social scene in RSC in world 3 fally south bank, i made alot of friends... made alot of enemies... Hell my bestfriend at the time who introduced me to the game in 2003, decided to hack me 5 minutes after i got membership for the first time on xmas. My mom went off on him on Aim and he gave me my account back and my full rune.

S/N he choose pixels over friendship and we were bestfriends since kindergarden. Fun times.

The strangest thing, personally, is that I did not know how much of an impact RuneScape had made on my life within the first year of playing - but I definitely liked it, for sure! Some of my fondest memories were made in the first year: Going to the library after school & playing without my parents' consent (I was 'doing homework', of course!); exploring the world of RuneScape and seeing it as a whole new adventure - like being in a new country for the first time; and making some friends that I would speak to for years to come.

I think the future of my time on RuneScape following that first year probably made more of an impact on my life than the first year - but I definitely did like playing it!

I remember those days. Also the teeny tiny screen. Forgetting one item for a task and having to walk all the way back to the bank.

Yeah I must have liked it but I like it better now. =p

I LOVED it. I had never played an MMORPG on a scale like RS before, and was amazed at how much interaction went on in a game like this.

It's funny, my fondest memory was looking at the Quest list (from when I started) and being amazed at the large number of quests in the members section - Zogre Flesh Eaters was the one that stuck out to me most, I used to think that was such a cool name for a quest...I still do.

They might have almost as many quests next year as they had this year, which by my calculations means I will need one bond for the year, unless they bring out hourly membership which would be more suitable.
Also once again, just go to a different area if you dont like the "spam".

Nothing will come from complaining about it.
