you have that account as members in osrs. but no you cant transfer stats as its a different game completely. everyone playing osrs started at level 3 even if their account on rs3 was max.

either way you can log on osrs on that account. it will not have wealth or stats. as it should be

otherwise be more effcient to train on rs3 then transfer it over to osrs...

In short, no you can't transfer stats from RS3 to OSRS, they are completely different games. If you want to play OSRS you have to start from scratch like every else has since it opened in 2013.

OSRS is based on 2007 but did NOT exist in 2007, it began in 2013.

You either played RuneScape Classic or RS2.

Classic is now closed and gone.

RS2 is now RS3. This is most likely the game you used to play. The combat system changed to EOC as an update in 2012 but it is the game you used to play unless you played Classic.

OSRS is the newest game started in 2013, and everyone had to start from scratch who plays it.

thanks for the info im still very peeved over this though

Why? RS3 still exists with all your items and stats, and you can still play it. EOC takes some getting used to but I would say learn EOC and don't use Legacy mode, using Legacy combat will only leave you stuck in the past, Legacy tries to mimic the old combat system but fails, so EOC is the way to go. With revolution its pretty easy since it fires off the abilities for you.

And if you really want the old combat OSRS is there. You haven't lost anything unless you played Classic. You can get two games, RS3 and OSRS, for the price of one membership now.

Well, since nobody said it yet: you can't move your character over, but you can move over your wealth via swapping aka player-to-player trust trading, if it helps you. Just be careful if you choose to do it, many scammers out there.

Far better to simply buy bonds on the GE and use them to get membership, no risk of being scammed then.

There is a reason no one suggested swapping GP over because chances are the person would just get scammed, or banned for trading with a RWT gold seller.

Swapping is a legal method that can work and has worked for many people; even though there's a risk of getting scammed, it's the individual's own decision to make as to whether they want to try it. If I was in OP's situation, I sure as hell would want to know as many valid options as possible, and then choose from them the one I thought was best for myself.

And really, when there's a risk like that, you're better off warning them about that as you explain it to them; the OP could hear about swapping from a scammer himself for example, who would assure the OP that it's completely safe, and the OP could possibly fall for it because they said it was completely safe. Swapping isn't exactly rare knowledge, so you might as well make sure that people who are unaware of it get the whole picture (or as close to the whole as you know yourself).
