@Nwk Naptime: I am so sorry to hear that it happened to you, I never enjoy hearing about those which is why the hunt must continue and it is so important to not click on those baiting phishing attempts.

Thank you for sharing your experience so that it doesn't happen to others.

On top of reporting the channel to Twitch, you can also send us the link at reportphishing@jagex.com

I caught these guys in the act of picking my account clean. Why doesnít jagex introduce a feature that will immediately log out the account?..so I can change my password and then force log out my account that the scammers are cleaning.... something like this ... once logged into the home page > account > force log out > are you sure? > yes. ď account has successfully been logged out ď

Than at least I would have salvaged some of my wealth and gear. Itís not a solution to the problem. And itís easy to say ďdonít click the link dummyĒ but it happens and people click the link. but at least with a feature like I suggested they donít get all of our stuff that weíve worked so hard to get. As everyone knows runescape is a rather Grindy game so to accumulate a mass of wealth is rather hard and drawn out. In most cases..

Itís food for thought and I think it would be handy to have. In worst case situations.

The ability to boot a hijacker from your account already exists.

Boot/Lock your Account

Authenticator also exists, which will keep a hijacker from accessing your account, as long as you don't give them your Authenticator code.

You can also set up a bank pin, which will keep hijackers out of your bank as long as you don't give them your pin and keep your computer free of keyloggers and malware.
Hi.
