World 91 was recently updated to list the activity as Heist.

The only issue is no one is here playing Heist...

Can you make Heist an instance world instead like Cabbage Facepunch Bonanza?

Or can you make the rewards better? Right now all you can do is earn bonus XP.

Why play Heist for this? You already get bonus XP by the truckload via Treasure Hunter. WTF?

Also Ironmen cannot play, I am guessing because the only reward is bonus XP.

Its nice for afking thaler and storing points to buy bxp for when Vic comes around.

Come to think of it, people used to play on w65 when its spotlight, wonder if it'll change now that heist has its own world... I hope this doesn't cause more confusion and split the already tiny "player"base for heist.

Couldn't tell you exactly why no one really plays Heist or any minigame, really. I assume the amount of time you need to invest for meagre returns is a big factor, for sure.

Also, it isn't available to Ironman-mode players, so I personally have never played it. However, since it has been mentioned that bonus experience is the only reward, I have no interest in ever playing it.

Why play Heist when you can acquire the same reward playing Treasure Hunter for 5 mins?

It's a critical flaw that they made, to give Heist virtually nothing rewarding and expect people to play on the fun factor alone (it is incredibly fun).

They also added a prestige system which honestly seems broken. There is no reward for prestiging. In fact it just wastes what you could have gained in bonus XP. There is no way to broadcast your prestige either and no hiscore that shows it. A completely useless metric in other words and hints at incompleteness when developing the mini game. Just a random non-reward that really serves no purpose and is boosted by cheaters anyway.

It's a pity that the community changed from what it was into what it is, I do think the old community has gone or is down to so little numbers that it doesn't have much impact and the 'new' community outnumbers it.

It used to be that as long as a minigame or anything was fun people would play it and the rewards were just a nice little optional bonus to casually aim for but somewhere along the way the tables were flipped, so if the rewards are bad that means the minigame (even if it is fun on its own) is bad. It's kind of sad in a way.

If you're suggesting changing the MTX element so as to give value to the existing rewards in minigames, I think that's nothing more than wishful thinking. The only other option is that Jagex ups the existing rewards enough that is deemed acceptable by the new community (but not too overkill) or they overhaul the rewards system to bring it up to par with what the new community considers worthwhile, again, while not being overkill.

I'm one such person who would willingly play several minigames just for the fun factor alone, I couldn't care less about the rewards unless they're necessary IE. for comp reqs. but beyond that I don't really think about the rewards. But then again I've been playing the game since the only version of it was RSC so I'm from the old, original community.

It'll hopefully work out that AFKers go to the Spot world, and players go to the labeled server (though given that the vast majority of the permanent playing-Heist community are from EU timezones, it may not be the best choice of server).

Given that Ironaccs could have been the biggest boost of new players to Minigames, in a long time, it was a really bad mistake for them to cut Irons out of them (especially considering what little they can do them for was delayed in implementation, for so long, that it meant most had passed through the period where it was of use, and all the guides had been made, cutting the content out). It would have required tying the reward to gameplay - but that is what is required, anyway, so it wouldn't have been specifically for Irons, and would have helped all the playerbase.

Rewards not being linked to full participation, is the main problem holding Minigames back (and preventing any new rewards from being effective), as it means that people get them without ever having played the content (therefore there is 0 chance they will discover they like it, and might play beyond the major rewards), and it also means that anyone who does want to play, either gets prevented from doing so, or has to hide away to be able to play - which just cuts them off from other people, meaning their community is doomed to die out, and newcomers have even less chance of getting to experience play (if they happen to be one of the very few, who will even bother ever attempting play).
