The M&S Rework is great and all, but I am wondering why Jagex didn't release an elite-smithing outfit with it. That would have been a great time to release one and a great addition to the rework. Thoughts?

That would be the xp-boosting outfit, not an elite skilling outfit. To illustrate the difference, look at the difference between the golden mining outfit (boosts xp by 1% per piece or 6% for the full outfit) and the magic golem outfit (gives the xp boosts of the former if you have the former as well as a whole host of other benefits).

tbh, i would rather they added the smithing gloves effect to the magic golem set (yes the full set, not just the parts), as i certain it isnt...especially since they took away the smithing cape perk that it used to act like the gold smithing gloves (kinda torn on that as the new perk is meh), it already has the varrock armor effect (unless that was removed) so why not the smithing gloves.

no need to make a whole new set for smithing.

This is an article on the "OLD" Wiki which is no longer being maintained. Please update your bookmark to the new website https://runescape.wiki

The correct link would be: https://runescape.wiki/w/Blacksmith%27s_outfit

which doesn't matter at all on either since links only work on the runescape.com domain, not fandom nor runescape.wiki

It matters greatly.

It doesn't matter whether an URL turns into a link on this forum or not. URLs which don't get converted into links can still be posted. If the URL isn't censored (lots are), you can then copy/paste the address from the page into the address bar of your browser to go there.

We need everyone to be using the new Wiki, so we shouldn't be driving people towards, nor advertising the old one.

To add on to this and to also add context before I actually mention it - old habits die hard with me.

I used to use that fandom wiki even despite the official one existing until one day, when I was using that fandom wiki how I've always used it, I opened a link to what just another standard RS item related wiki page on the fandom wiki and what happened?

Another tab opened and attempted to force a download on my computer, if I didn't have Norton I suspect I'd be fucked - why?

Norton stopped the download and killed the page, I opened Norton to see what it was and it was listed as a trojan. Since that day I have never used that fandom wiki ever again and have favourited/bookmarked the official wiki on Chrome so it's easy and quick to access at any given time.
