I'm hearing soo many people whine and complain about the update, yet from my experience as a NOW f2p, I like what I have to see so far. Sure, there are a few kinks that need to be looked at as far as specific settings like DISABLING that critical hit pop up...(annoyed face).

The power of the pick axes needs to be reconsidered due to the fact majority of players are 99 mining anymore these days. Our mining levels should also add in some strength, as well as our physical strength levels. In other words, Mining and Strength Levels should add 50% power to our swings or increase the minimum output of damage we do per swing of the pickaxe with our current picks being utilized.

As far as the prices being changed drastically, THANK GOD! Our economy has been in a bit of shambles lately thanks to high alchs and various drops. This should really start to help balance out our economy, and with the other reworks (if ever released) should help maintain our economy or further balance it out so that everyone and anyone can make it or break it.

WELLLLLLL....now there's a new thing that people are complaining about. The fact we cant plus hatchets and cross bows. While I can UNDERSTAND not enhancing cross bows...wait, why isn't this possible? We need to smith the limbs, right? Let us plus them! Crafted cross bows from the created limbs can not be traded...one and done.

Custom Armor...Fun. Now...here's my gripe about the current F2P stats I'm seeing.
There's no real significant increase to damage or defense modifiers, and they're clearly not evident when combat training. Some would say otherwise, but with 99 combat skills...I'm not seeing the significant difference when using rune +3s against their appropriate weaknesses. (taps on jagexes monitor, everyone alive over there?)

SOOO....anything else anyone wants to add in? Cause we can go for rounds with this long awaited GLORIOUS UPDATE! O_o:D;):@

I hate that a new hatchet wasn't added along with the song and earth pick. We totally could've had a "song and flame" hatchet that required a crystal hatchet and an inferno adze and the blast hammer. Seeing as the adze is dead content because crystal is better and this would've been a perfect way to revive it.

They said they'll consider other reworks that would also include hatchets if this rework is received well. I also hope to see this at some point.

Crossbows weren't included since they rely heavily on Fletching (and, by extension, Woodcutting). Whenever those skills get updated is when we are liable to see new crossbows.

There's not much of a point in a new, higher level hatchet at the moment. Without rework to the mechanics and balance of Woodcutting and its connected skills (Firemaking and Fletching), all a new hatchet would amount to is an increase to xp rates.

It's not bad, just not necessary or even all that useful until the skill is reworked.

Also, depending on how similarly coded Woodcutting is to Mining, it could be quite difficult to add a hatchet above crystal to the current system (back when Priff came out, there was a discussion about the creation of the crystal pickaxe, and it was explained that they had to code it differently to most pickaxes since dragon had the highest possible success rate a pickaxe could have with the standard way they were coded).

I'm not too worried about the PVM community, since they still have unique drops required for best in slot items.

Its about time PVM wasn't the only way to earn GP and non combat skills became more useful and profitable again.

There are of course some tweaks that will need doing, but I am liking the update, I think it was much needed and moving the game in the right direction.

Agreed tweaks are needed to a few stats of elder room i think would love to see master work weapons as well and would also love to see t90 gear in some form or fashion being broken down to help recharge masterwork stuff or t80 at least to help preserve prices of certain pvm gear. Or maybe stats and amount of bars needed to make things can be tweaked in stead
