It's a no from me, but it won't matter since another two are already deep in development. ED2 is due to be released as next month's headline update, which means they're in so deep the team won't have time to make the sweeping changes to ED1 that need to happen, and ED2 can't be swapped with another update in the meantime since it's likely already late to do that, which means ED2 will likely launch with the same problems ED1 has.

I had a lot of fun, took me almost 6 hours to finally complete story mode and do a successful normal mode kill. Kept dying to the shadow hands that spawned form Seiyru, wish that had a warning msg instead of the fire breath that misses half the time.

Was an overall positive experience for me. Although the loot is meh for a 45 min long boss run, it reminded me of WoW dungeons, which were a lot of fun. It's the experience I expected when I heard of Mazcab raids, glad it's finally in game.

Vote very yes for me.

Well the OP clearly shows bias, indicating this is more a thread to voice displeasement than an actual request for a poll/vote.

But I think it is good to voice other opinions as well: I do want to see more elite dungeons.

As someone who likes slayer, lore and a bit of bossing (and dungeoneering but I'll admit this content does not feel like real dungeoneering) I currently have enjoyed this update quite a bit. Yes the bosses need some balancing rather than having their stats be the same regardless of group size, but the concept of going through large dungeons, exploring the vast environments and unraveling the lore while fighting off fairly tough slayer npcs with the occasional miniboss, to then reach bosses to kill is fun for me.

Story mode does offer a nice way of doing the dungeons in (very) easy mode and focusing on the lore aspect (while learning the boss mechanics), but it is so easy that it lacks any challenge whatsoever. It rightfully offers no drops other than lore, but in doing so has no rewards for non lorehunters.

Soloing on the other hand is far tougher than when doing duos and trios, making casual players rely on finding teams to participate in this content. There indeed is a large portion of players who are starting to dislike the focus on group content and just want some medium difficulty solo content.

I see both abovementioned modes as ways with which the content team has tried to counter reliance on grouping and end tier difficulty, yet neither really finds the sweet spot for casual players.

I suggest to scale the bosses depending on the number of people in the group (and lowering the drops). I would not necessarily do this for the normal npc's (they are fairly straightforward to deal with, but given my levels I might be a bit biased). I would call this normal mode and keep the current solo scaling (or rather lack of) as hard mode.

But I am definitely looking forward to more dungeons like this in the future to explore.

i think this format of content is getting as close to the sweet spot as can be , admittedly no one likes dying and its an frustrating experience , however when you jump into new content (like this high level pvm content) its expected that you will... die alot as the mechanics arent that well known yet and you're kind of going in blind.

i have read a couple of posts which i share the view of which is this is kind of what i expected mazcab and dungeoneering to be , glad those two got put together and this was the result, im glad to know theres atleast 2 more to come and once people give it a fair go hopefully jagex will release even more of these after this 3 piece :)
