If it just augments like normal armour, it'll cost 4 charges per second to use, or 14,400 charges per hour. That's 4.8 divine charges, or about 360k at today's prices. And it's NOT going to be degrade to dust for sure, so this is just plain wrong.
Well, the calculations need to be updated to take account of the new reduced recipe (seems to just be the equivalent of one of every M/S rework item for that slot + the torva and malev items for that slot to make t92 now. But, they have confirmed that it will d2dust as you feared, so I now have to agree with the conclusions of this thread that this new gear will be utterly DEAD CONTENT if released as promised.
It's still going to cost at least 4x the cost of Malevolent armour to use for a minute armour bonus noone cares about and a damage boost over Malev/normal Masterwork that is so tiny that they won't find it with an electron microscope!
They absolutely need to make the new t90 Masterwork armour cost the same to maintain as Malevolent, and then they need to make the t92 Masterwork armour REPAIRABLE, not deg2dust, and make it cost the SAME as the t90 to repair.
Otherwise, you're right and this is dead before release.
