The Dwarf finale is confirmed to be named "Birthright of the Dwarves".

Where did they get that name from? Sounds interesting, though.

John A mentions it in the new podcast. He says he kinda picked it quickly when submitting the design brief, and wanted to keep with the tradition of having the word Dwarf/Dwarves in the title.

Oh. I think I missed that part while listening to it. Thanks.

hope the requirements arent too high D: im so close to quest cape now

Sir Owen is a Black Knight's Fortress rework and will have no requirements. However, it's actually not part of the Temple Knights series anymore it seems. Since it occurs in the 6th Age, this means it's not a requirement for any of the Temple Knight quests, and may serve as a springboard for future Signature Hero/Gods content instead.

I also really doubt we'd get Acolyte Temple rank from this, as it's a novice, requirementless quest.

Yeah. It sure is going to be like one. One thing that I don't understand is why do they have to move the quest from the fifth age to the sixth age rather than letting it stay on the appropriate age it was supposed to be in, so that it doesn't confuse much of the questers on the game?

Gnome Quest
-To begin development in 2014
-Is said to be largely written
-May be the finale

I think it is confirmed to be the finale since there are six gnome quests already, as evidence on the wiki. One question that I'm concerned about is that will Glough and Glouphrie appear on the same quest or are they separate?

It's been brought up a few times, but there's way too much story to cover for it to really be a finale. Arposandran finale, perhaps but there's still the entire Monkey/Karamja gnome storyline to follow up.

Hmm. You may be right, but for future reference, I just want to see how it will come up as when it is announced to be released. Thanks anyways.

I believe there is another quest too about the sequel of Blood Runs Deep and Royal Trouble, as said in a chaos elemental hint in the Above the Lore podcast on the wiki.

Just as I thought this quest is be developed, turns out the Fremennik series was already finished since the last one, Blood Runs Deep.

Sounds nice. I wonder when he will release the quest to us?

P.s.- Anyone who has a weak stomach and have no interest in horror movies, do not, I mean DO NOT, look and read the plot of the movie Mod Osborne made a spiritual reference about. The movie is seriously disgusting.

Speaking of... They could really use that mobile app more than the GE..**** is too game involved; the forums are so bad on iOS that a mobile app would be amazing <3

What do you mean on mobile? Are you trying to update your sections on your phone? Anyways, are you also adding in the new quest being developed by Mod Raven? I heard that a not too long ago hint from the Above the Lore states that Armadyl will feature in the quest.

Anything Nomad would be quite nonsensical as a f2p quest though. I still hope that Jagex considers shifting Nomad to a 6th Age series, with Nomad's master being Zamorak instead though.

Hmm. I was wondering what religion Nomad follows. Because if he we're anything else besides Zamorakian, then there will be a complete change of this story.

I don't believe it is. The Wiki has more on each of them and they not only are listed separately but they also sound very different. Amascut, have a poke at the "Upcoming Updates" page on RS Wiki, and/or to each of their respective pages.

I think they decided to name the World Gate quest that way. And I don't think, that you might be thinking, it is coincidence that each wiki would sound different. Just calm down and try not to worry too much; I hear its not good for you anytime of year, ok?

According to both Mod Rowley (the dev) and Mod Osborne on Twitter, the "Zaros Quest" and "Elder God" quest are to be the same thing. Since the "Zaros Quest" is the World Gate quest in dev by Mod Rowley, this means the two are one and the same, unless some information was left out. Don't always trust the RS Wiki - I actually had the two quests listed as separate things, before I was informed by a friend who was at RuneFest that I was incorrect about them being two quests.

See, Dead Time? She knows where I'm going with. Did I forget to mention that the Zaros quest may also be an Elder Gods quest?

Information About Rite of Passage

- To be released early next year

- In development by Mod Raven

- Involves the player visiting the Aviansie homeworld, Abbinah

- Will likely be an Intermediate quest

- May involved Linza (hopefully to remind us what good Smiths the Aviantese are!)

- Is to have Agility and Divination requirements in the 30s, among others

- Is planned to have very open, non-linear gameplay

I was having a thought about this. Do you think it will require Missing, Presumed Death or will it be an outside storyline quest, like Death of Chivalry was?

4 Quests currently largely in development / ready for release, with 2 more to be polled, and several more in design brief stage.

In Dev:

- One of a Kind
- Fate of the Gods
- Mourning's End Part 3
- ???

Design Brief

- Rite of Passage
- ???

Mod Doctor has taken over curatorship of the Elemental Workshop series - Mod Dylan has stepped away from it.

Rite of Passage in design briefing? Oh, come on. I was expecting the quest to be ready within this year.

As for the Elemental Workshop series, I hope Doctor will do his best on the rest of that series like Dylan has done.

I just found that out the other day, thanks.

By the way, the requirements for Fate of the Gods are 67 Summoning, 79 Magic, 73 Agility, 76 Slayer, 75 Divination, and the quest Missing, Presumed Death. It is found in the March BTS.

To give you guys on the update on the two upcoming quests, The Mighty Fall will have 69 Slayer, 72 Defence, 78 Constitution, 79 Attack, 79 Strength, and a bunch of quests. As for the Elder God quest, we have a poll to choose from are: Researching the Elder Gods, Bik and the Oceans, Wen and the Dwarves, and Ful and the Tzhaar.

Edit: In respective order, it is Intermediate, Experienced, Master, and Grandmaster. Researching the Elder Gods quest requires nothing, Bik and the Oceans quest requires nothing, Wen and the Dwarves require the Defender of Varrock quest, and Ful and the Tzhaar require the Brink of Extinction quest. All of those quests have Grandmaster post-quest content that requires the Fate of the Gods quest.

Oh, a couple more corrections.

- I'm not sure if we can count on Rite of Passage being released in 2014. It was put in the Sixth Age quest poll, and it lost horribly.

- For "Other information", I think the Sixth Age quest listing can be removed, considering how it would be referring to the Elder God quest.

Why not Ful? Id be much happier with Ful than with research.

Because the research can just be spit into each of the other three options instead of unnecessarily dragging this out. Plus I think that jumping right into the action then figuring things out later is much more fun.

That may be a good idea for you, but not for others.

I was definitely expecting a quest in July after something Mod Osborne said (another surprise quest), so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a JMod to slip up about who's developing it.

Somehow, I'm really hoping they threw Mod Doctor on to an Elemental Workshop V even though it lost the poll, but I'm kinda expecting something Intermediate or so that wasn't on the poll at all.

Also awesome to hear that we'll get something in September before the Research quest. I do think we won't get a quest in December though, cuz if we do, it'd be the 200th Quest, and I do expect Jagex to try and do something vaguely fancy with it.

The last Elemental Workshop quest is an Intermediate, so I'm hoping to expect an Experienced Elemental Workshop quest next. As for the "quest we don't know about," I hope we get the Rite of Passage quest we are supposed to get this year.

The Rite of Passage was in the poll to come out in October and it lost. I do not think it will be this year.

And I agree that I think the 200th will be early next year, probably Feb or March 2015.

And to the guy who said quests do not have feelings, it is a figure of speech. And people use it all the time.

We may never know, but it could come out next month. Where did you see a "figure of speech" line when he may sound serious in such business?

Hallowe'en

We have been tasked with this yearĺs spooky seasonal update and, in what promises to be a creepy and unsettling quest, the player will explore a huge mansion, built by a wealthy merchant at the start of the Fifth Age, to uncover the horror hidden within! Much like 2008*s Halloweĺen quest, Swept Away, this quest will remain permanently in the game but will be considerably longer and more challenging. More details to come in futureů

I'm guessing that, since Heart of Stone requires Carnillean Rising, the "hero" is Xenia.

That would cause a lot of controversy. As a signature hero, like Xenia, none of them are allowed to do such thing. If, for any reason the Mods would allow this, any of the signature heroes were to do such evil action, they would then consider themselves traitors to the hero kind.

I get the feeling the hero isn't doing this for evil, nor is insane, but that they actually have a good reason for their actions, but that we wont know this until we track them down. The wizards tower isnt very open-minded, they would consider the theft itself enough reason that it must be for bad intention.

Im reminded of the mention that theres atleast one other race to survive the great revision aside the dragonkin. I recall that the dragonkin survived by hiding in the abyss. Recently at runefest it was indicated ****, where the illujan*a - the other race speculated to have survived the great revision - came from, is actually in an abyss bubble, which is why you cant see stars on it.

This quests plot is about a spell that could bring gielinor into the abyss.

I wonder if its all related.

Interesting theory, my friend. Until then, we'll wait and see who that hero is.

From the BTS, it's also almost definitely us helping Ariane to track down what seems to be Xenia! Looks very exciting and lore-heavy and it's really great we're seeing a follow-up to Ariane's series already! Can't wait to sink my teeth into it :)

I'm getting a funny feeling about this one, but is it really Xenia or is it someone else disguised as Xenia?

Bilrach is alive.
Hazeel will be back.
Jerrod is the werewolf and he is a heister.

Source: RSTV.

Bogus. Bogus, I tell you.

First of all, Bilrach is dead, period.

Second, Hazeel will come back to players who sided to Hazeel's cult in Hazeel's Cult.

Last, when the hell did Jerrod become a heister when he is a werewolf adventurer?

I watched the livestream, and they outright say that the figure in the Zamorak Heist next to Moia is indeed Bilrach.

Are you sure its Bilrach? I looked at the concept picture for the quest, and that second Mahjarrat is wearing a hood. Bilrach doesn't wear a hood regularly, so I was think its Sliske hiding in the shadows, considering the looks of him.

They said that Hazeel will be revived for all players, and the quest is actually meant to resolve the problems they've had in using him in quests. I asked Mod Ollie on Twitter, and he told me that Hazeel Cult will be a requirement for the quest, presumably for that very reason.

Really? If Hazeel was revived for players who sided his cult in Hazeel's Cult, how the hell did the cult pull this off without our involvement?

Zamorak revived him, obviously ^^

:O No. We don't see a cutscene like that happen. There's no other way to prove that happened.

I've been saying Bilrach is alive for nearly a year now... He's alive, and I'm happier for it.

Ok. If Moia and Bilrach survived the void at the bottom of Daemonheim, who the f*** really died down there?

For the strange power or the body?

Nobody died for the strange power. It was a byproduct of sending Moia through the Rift, and the Ritual Marker's use.

The dead body is likely just some body that was rotting.

For one thing, the strange power was when a Mahjarrat dies, so both.

Seriously? That meme was so years ago. Can you drop it?

It's not even a meme. It's true. The quest (Salt in the Wound) had you controlling a bunch of NPCs. And it ended with a pillar (which then became a meme).

Yeah, but its getting old.

I didn't even intend it to be a meme. I was just stating a fact while implying one of my reasons for not voting for F61 quest. It was more of a nod to how anticlimactic SitW was, not how meme-able it was.

So.

Yeah.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see what you did there until now.

Dishonour Among Thieves, eh? Hmm. Am I getting a feeling that one of the thieves is going to betray Zamorak Bin Laden somewhere in the quest or was it this one thief was dishonoring Zamorak in some way in the past. By the way, General Khazard is in this team, not Bilrach (was that a typo or did you do that on purpose?). Now can you drop that name and get on with the present ahead of us?

More potential quests, but with less information are...

-Rite of Passage
-Gnome quest
-Pirate Quest
-Penguin IV
-Sir Owen 2
-Floor 61 quest
-God Sagas
-Slayer Master quest
-Fate of the Gods 2
-Vampyre Finale

Hype for all of these... EXCEPT THAT ONE.

Why do you have the sequel of Death to Chivalry so much?

We are only getting two more quests this year? Confirmed? I hate everything.

Yes. We have 4 Arc Tales and 2 more quests left for this year.

September was the M/S rework but is now a patch month (Nomad's Elegy PQC, Dagannoth Kings visual rework, Augmented Pickaxes, new components/perks, Deathmatch/BH), October is the Arc Batch 2 (4 islands, halloween, and 4 tales), November is Fate of the Gods 2, and December is Sliske's Endgame.

PQC? What does that mean?

I don't know if this thread keeps any updates on quests anymore, but I saw on this year's Year Ahead news that we have Pieces of Hate coming in between February, March, and April, and the almost forgotten murder mystery quest coming around this year, Needle Skips.

Am I the only one who is hyped to the new upcoming quest? Why is everyone else not posting or updating anything yet?

I mean, what is there to talk about in the new quest?

Well, there are a few things I want to bring up bits of what we'll see happening in the quest. Before I talk about that, though, the requirements for the quest are as follows: A Clockwork Syringe, Gertrude's Cat, 81 Construction, 82 Firemaking, 83 Agility, 85 Thieving, and 110 Combat, but with the combat portion coming up somewhere in the quest, its recommended for everyone. In the quest, we'll encounter a few things: a zombie pirate invasion of Mos Le'Harmless, a visit to an ex-temple of the Dragonkin, and a new character named Madame Shih, whom will connect this quest to the eastern lands. If you want more info, you can check it out in the runescape wiki and this month's Behind the Scenes.

I've not really bothered updating due to the glacial quest pace. It's not that I've lost interest in quests - I'm hyped! I just discuss the stuff we learn on a podcast, The Society of Owls, and spend more time on that than a forum thread these days.

Oh. That's good, hehe. :|

Unannounced quest in May. Any guesses? With any luck it'll be the next Nomad quest given how he's still alive

How do you know Nomad is still alive? Given what Sliske did to him for the Endgame quest, it's highly unlikely that he'll come back alive after that.
