Other series should have priority over Myreque****. last desert quest was Dec 2010, pirate and EW Mar 2011. Myreque Sep 2015. I don't follow the graphics argument, and the momentum thin

+1, but you forgot about the gnomes :(

Hence the (censored...) 'e.g.' I also left out druids, who have been waiting since 2004, monkeys, 2010, slugs (because we all agree SitW should be reworked if resources and manpower weren't restrictive factors), 2011 and penguins, 2012. Then there's Temple Knights, 2011/2013, aaand that's about it., since Drakkerkin were also 2015.

Druid's quest series has been over since TWW.

Monkeys are a mess.

Slugs needs a rework.

Penguins might be this year

Temple Knights are occasional stories.

Desert needs a quest, but could get one this year if Menaphos wins.

And either way, we've been complaining that old questlines need to be finished. They're finishing a questline here, and now a few of you are complaining. Doesn't that seem a bit wrong to you? The devs enjoyed working on the last quest and want to make the quest. The players enjoyed playing the last quest and many want the next quest. They have momentum from LoV to get the next one out. The graphics are up to date, and save budget by not needing to do any reworks.

There is no reason not to do the next Vampyre, and complaining about Jagex taking the time to do continuation quests of the same series does more harm than good.

Couldn't agree more. It will be great to have this series finished in 2016.

Yeah around the 41 minute mark there is discussion that the three remaining quests (Fate of the Gods 2, Nomad's Elegy and Gower quest) would be novice, master and grandmaster. Wake me up when Osborne resigns | Will not be renewing membership until Jagex deals with its toxic developer culture & has a new, better lead designer | *Soon TM” is not a fun joke, it is an admission the company is an embarrassment

When it comes to quest series my preferred method of release is the way the Void series did it, in that each quest series is worked on and finished before moving onto the next one. These long gaps really do harm to interest, especially because we can't replay quests.

Just finished listening to the Quests Q&A stage! Additional things we've learned are:

- Ballad of the Barrows Brothers is an Experienced quest.

Rewatched, yep Barrows will be experienced. Glad we are not going back to the recent anti mid level content dark ages.

Although I did hear the three quests they didn't discuss (Gower quest, Fate of the Gods 2 and Nomad's Elegy) would be a novice, master and grandmaster. You might want to double check before adding to the thread though. I'd assume its be Gower novice, Nomad master and Fate of the Gods 2 grandmaster although Raven said Nomad's Elegy would "probably?" require Nomad's Requirm so that seems odd.

I also wonder if who was speaking had anything to do with who develops the quests. That would leave Stu and Wilson without a quest with two big quest slots up for grabs - Nomad's Elegy and Fate of the Gods 2. I'm leaning to Stu doing Nomad's Elegy as my preference but both are strong developers so I'm sure they will work well whatever they are given.

Yeah, Elegy will likely be both Master, and require NRish skill reqs are pretty much Master-ranked these days, and there's been quests with lower difficulty-tier than a prior quest before. I don't see it as too big of a deal if the reqs are still around the NR tier.

So Gower Rangers = Novice, Ballad = Experienced, Nomad = Master, FOT*2 = Grandmaster, Vampyres = Grandmaster, Sliske's Endgame = Grandmaster. With bottle quests likely being lower level from Novice - Experienced depending on the quest/series (Workshop/Penguin would stray towards Experienced, while a new story straying towards Novice) then we've got another decent slew of quests of varying levels again!

Really? Which one?

How much of a "rework" are some of you calling for on quests?

Are we talking like a few Quality of Life things and removing the tradeable aspect of quests?
Examples:
- Cook's Assistant: They remove the "give egg, flour, milk = done" to making you go visit the 3 spots still but you get a quest item, update quest reward value
- Vampyre Slayer: New specific NPC to start quest, a 1 time save of sort if you die to Draynor
- Earnest the chicken: update quest reward

Something for this would be reworking Imp Catcher to have 4 unique beads for the quest to track down.

Or are you talking about a complete overhaul to the quest, or even outright replacing it?
Examples:
- Demon Slayer, Death Plateau, Wolf Whistle and Druidic Ritual were completely redone from the previous concepts, but kept the names and spirit of what you were doing before
- Death of Chivalry replaced Black Knight Fortress
- What's Mine is Yours replaced Doric's Quest
- Rune Mysteries and Memories replacing the old Rune Mysteries
- Stolen Hearts/Diamond in the Rough replacing Prince Ali Rescue
- And in the most extreme case, Gunnar's Ground replacing Romeo and Juliet

I don't see a mention of anybody asking for reworked quests. I think most people are of the opinion for there to be new quests entirely and finish 5th age quests. Which is what it looks like we are getting next year. For me personally, reworked quests are a complete waste of time. Some little quality of life improvements added by the ninja team are okay, but I don't like it when they completely remove a quest and put something else in it's place.

I can't be the only one who feels the Barrows Sister is like an OC in a bad fanfiction. Unless it turns out to be an existing character like Remola.

Could it be Jennica or someone related? I don't think we ever got an answer to why that Old man noticed the ring. I thought that story would go somewhere but its been years since Summers End...
