Don't get scared Jagex have a tendency of overhyping the difficulty of quest bosses like Drakan. Also they nerfed TokHaar Hok and Hreidmar so I doubt he'd be harder than them.

As already answered, the gnome quest is the last one in the saga and is said to be a Grandmaster. Possibly now requiring Plague's End.

The quest will meet Glouphrie and it is supposed to open Apposandra, lost gnome city, for us. Most likely it will involve those machines and will probably be named something like 'The Mind of Glouphrie.' or something like that. As we have had Eyes, Path, and Prisoner. It might also require Invention now whenever they decide to finish the gnome series, which I really think they should instead of making other questlines at the moment.

Source? Haven't heard anything about the series in years so last I heard it was meant to be a master tier. Not that I don't believe you, your information sounds consistent with their recent approaches.

Also low hype for Elegy. The parts shown in the BTS didn't grab me and I stand by the fact adding Zanik is a horrible mistake. Looks cheap to me.
Wake me up when Osborne resigns | Will not be renewing membership until Jagex deals with its toxic developer culture & has a new, better lead designer | *Soon TM” is not a fun joke, it is an admission the company is an embarrassment

I'm really hype for Nomad's Elegy, I'm ready to kick nomad's rear end yet again, this time for good!

Current titles:
Eyes of Glouphrie
Path of Glouphrie (play on the movie title Paths of Glory)

Possible titles depending on how they do it:
Lord of Glouphrie
King of Glouphrie
Edge of Glouphrie (play on Lady Gaga song)
Dreams of Glouphrie

frankly, you could sub in any [Noun] of Glouphrie if you wanted to keep the theme.

Is it fair to assume at this point that Nomad's Elegy will be Grandmaster-tier?

Almost absolutely. It requires two Grandmasters and some high level Masters.

They said this back when the gnome quest, dwarf quest, and pirate quest were going head to head. There has also been a few Q&A's through out the last few years that have mentioned it. In all honesty, it would be near impossible to find those Q&As now. The last quest was a master and the skills were pretty high already.
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

Plague's End and Invention trace back to the Elf City vs Invention poll that kicked off Player Power, which came three months after Birthright of the Dwarves, which won that competition between Gnomes, Dwarves, and Pirates. There is no way they would have been able to say that the Gnome finale would require Plague's End and Invention during that competition. It would have to be in the Q&A's.
