About the Avianese quest, maybe, just maybe, when jagex wrote it, they thought that the players would kill off Arma instead of Bandos. Thus they not only rewrote the quest, but pumped out The Mighty Fall as the fallout from the WE2.
Maybe the plot of it had to be reworked enough to be something they'd want to use.
Though if it was abandoned, you'd think they'd tell us ... maybe ...

As for the Elder God quest ... maybe someone's calendar is off? maybe the design notes were misread? maybe the quest is a few weeks ahead of schedule?
Why do people think I'm crazier than a room full of foxes in a psychiatric ward? Do they ever stop to think how the foxes got in there in the first place?
Why ask a question you think you want the answer to, yet know you will regret knowing?

Wait has someone confirmed the elder gods quest for November? I thought the poll say October. Don't say it has been delayed because of the Halloween quest (which I am not putting much faith in).

When was the Zamorak heist quest confirmed? Last I heard it was still just something Mod Mark thought might be a cool idea (and we all know what happens with most of those).

Mod Osbourne discussed the idea of a heist quest in a podcast. A Zamorak quest has been set to be the last quest of the year for some time now. Whether it is the heist quest or a separate project is unknown. It is speculated to set up the next world event.

Do you know which podcast confirmed it? I haven't been keeping up with the more recent summer podcasts, and I'd like to listen to the one where this is mentioned.

I know they mentioned this in the Zamorak podcast and later in the world event podcast from last year/first half of this year. However, it was always framed in terms of 'if we do story content for Zamorak, it would probably be more like this than like that' or 'Zamorak would do this in such and such a hypothetical situation, which might be better for quest content.' Neither of those confirmed the Zamorak Heist as a quest (unlike Rite of Passage).

Seeing the history of quests released since the start of this thread actually makes me feel a little sad. Weren't we supposed to get at least a few more quests this year than the last one? Jagex really needs to speed up the number of released quests during the last few months of this year.

We actually gonna have more, by one. So 7 quests, instead of 6.

The Zmorak quest specifically was mentioned in the Podcast discussing the "Future Quests" Poll (that ELder gods eventually won). In it they mentioned/hinted/pointed at a Zamorak quest being in development and already aimed for release, and therefore not polled.

You mean 8, assuming the 3 quests we know were supposed to be released this year are. Halloween quest, presumably in October. Elder gods in November. And the Zamorak quest at the end.

Of course, that Zamorak ones a bit iffy...

Yeah, we're slated for at LEAST 7 this year, with up to 9 being possible.

Poll coming soon for our 199th Quest - Quest to then come in February

- Elemental Workshop V: Your adventure continues, deeper into the devilishly devious workshop where you unlock the secrets of the Astral and Nature rooms.

- Pirate Quest: What horrors lurk in the waters of the Cursed Archipelago? Find the source of Rabid Jack’s power as the pirates of Mos Le'Harmless prepare for war.

- Spellcrafting Quest: Spellcrafting is a lost and dangerous art. Can you master it and create a new spell for the wizards of the world?

- Zamorak’s Heist: Sliske has the Stone of Jas, and Zamorak plans to assemble a team and engineer a heist. But is Sliske the only enemy?

- I don't mind: Choose this option if you don't mind which of the above quests are developed.

Quest 200 will be the second Special Quest, in the vein of Recipe for Disaster.
