On the Werewolf quandary ... Jagex could always just do the classic long NPC dialogue or a diary/history book.

Something from the werewolf point of view about the point in history where they were made subservient to the Vampyres.

Or even go with a Lores/History story in that section like The Old Blood.

Goebie quest got a name. Call of the Ancients (?) I believe. Its in the stream somewhere. I think I would absolutely die laughing if the Goebie quest got called Right of Passage.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about the quest being a novice level quest, though.
Don't look to hard.

I'm interested as to what that reward will be they said would be useful to high level players. Perhaps it might be related to raids in some way, that would be neat. The temple for this goebie quest looks great, looking forward to exploring it.

I think a balance needs to be struck. Lets not forgot 2013 was either novice or grandmaster quests and 2014 had three grandmasters. We still get quite a lot of high level quests and making them high level does not make them good, no matter how hard Jagex tries to push that.

Besides we need good quality, recent low level quests for newer players. If players are made to play through all the old, low quality quests it might turn them off from continuing with the lore and that will result in less quests which I think we all can agree would be bad.

It could be as simple as exp, like Death of Chivalry did or something like an extra farming patch. I'm not expecting too much in terms of rewards.

This year has been pretty darn well balanced with quest difficulties actually. We've also yet to have a Novice quest, so I'm not too shocked we're getting at least one. Mazcab has always been open to all levels, as has almost all of it's lore.

So this year's lineup is:

Intermediate, Special, Experienced, Grandmaster, Master. All we need is a Novice and we've had all 6 difficulties in a row without a repeat for the first time EVER. That's pretty crazy! So I am hoping Call of the Ancients is Novice tier.

---

Oh yeah, and thread updated a bit.

- Shifted Call of the Ancients/Tut Island to slots 1 and 2
- Edited the "other quests" list a bit, removing God Sagas since they're not a quest.
- Edited the writeup section on other quests, removing God Sagas, adding Myreque finale, and adding a little bit of Penguin news that I've heard recently. Be aware it *is* a rumor, and doesn't mean we're getting a quest soon, just that writing seems to have been done on it.

I do not think the werewolves are big enough to have a questline, but one quest can't hurt.

We have 2 main werewolves, both in which are canon. Jerrod and Gar'rth. I think Gar'rth will make an appearance as Roald's spy.

If not a quest, then I hope the werewolves play a heavy role in the last quest. But there will be more vampyre quests after. We already know that they seem to have plans for most races to have another questline after their original lines. Elves being one of them. As it has been pretty much confirmed that there will at least be a quest or two on Tarddiad because most of the world has not be shown. And it is possible to go through the World Gate to Vamp**ium whenever than chance comes.

We do not know where the werewolves came from. We do not know their origins. And they have nothing to do with the Morytania quests. Why even include them if they never have any type of history? All other races have had some history.

The only reason I think you think the werewolves are dull is because there is nothing about them. I would rather learn more about the werewolves than Elves and Dwarves. But we all have out opinions.

Anyway, I have not watched the live stream or whatever about the Goebie quest. Do they plan to give them their own questline, or is it a stand alone quest?
Come the Sixth-Age, the world will need the World Guardian.

I'm hoping this is a conscious move to be more balanced. As I've said before, previous years were not. 2013 was literally novice or grandmaster whilst 2014 was top heavy with 3 grandmasters and a master quest that the mods admit was pushed as close to grandmaster as possible (like I needed more reasons to dislike The Mighty Fall). As a mid level player, I'm glad to see some attempt to remember we exist (unfortunately the skill focus seems to have been forgotten and I struggle to think of more than 1 update aimed at mid levels in 2014).

Rowl*y has confirmed they won't have a big role in the finale.

It's not confirmed and the world could be filled out in ways other than quests e.g. raids. But I do hope so - Tarddiad has lots of opportunities and it would be a shame to waste them.

I'll agree with you on Dwarves but The Light Within was so strong to me, I'd rather have more elves. But yes, since werewolves have little lore an expansion would be nice.

Goebie quest sounds stand alone. The Watch were told they had to make a quest and they made the Goebies with raids with opportunities to expand upon.
