100% not true, I'm not even half way to 120 RC and I'd support it, heck I'd support any skill to 120 (I only have 10x 120s) as long as there are enough content to fill the gap.

100% truth. Have to agree here.

So, it is a bit of an exaggeration. However, there is some truth to this. Those who have a virtual 120 would be happy with their virtual 120 suddenly giving them some benefits. They already did the work, so they don't see it as a problem, as they aren't likely to think about the game's health as a whole. Those who are working on a 120, even if they are FAR from it, want it because hey, they're already planning to do it. By the time the skill is 120, they may have already reached that goal, or close to it.

And those who aren't interested in getting it will be unaffected as you don't need 120 for max cape or use the cape perk. Assuming enough new content is being released with 120, all players would be either unaffected or happy with the change.

99s are easier now more than ever, but they still take time. 120s take WAY longer than 99s did back in, say, 2005. Skills designed with 120 in mind aren't much of an issue, as the xp rates(and in the case of Invention, the xp curve) is adjusted to compensate for it, making 120 more reasonable for less "hardcore" players.

Read Tenebri's reply to see why you're wrong on this one.

120 Slayer proved to be a bad idea with poor execution to match, so asking for an extension, without even a REASON to do it, is plain asinine. The majority of players who ask for this, either have the respective skill at 120, or they are working on it, or it is simply their favorite skill.

The floor is open to suggestions.

Better idea: Fix Runecrafting first. It is SLOW xp until later levels, either with Runespan, or Abyss with Demonic skull. Free players can only make 6 types of runes while they can use, what, 11 varieties? Levels for making multiple runes are weirdly set up so at 98 and 99, you get the ability to make more of the lowest level runes. Runes only free players will ever make.

Its meant to be slow... 120 can unlock new runes for f2p to craft like chaos and law (opening Entrana to f2p but not the trapdoor to access underneath) runes etc.

As for p2p? This could pair up nicely with 120 mage update which may introduce higher level spells that require new runes.

Anyone who wants skilling content are only the skillers so they are biased to what they want. We can't have something if we want it.
The brightest ideas are the most undervalued.

I feel silly that i had to add it, but please remember the context of this subforum.
I didn't post ACTUAL suggestions in the first post because this forum is for discussion, not suggesting.

That saod, if you guys want to suggest at this stage: go nuts.

I would rather have herblore go to the next 120 skill. Herblore can add new skilling and combat potions to make.

Hard no for the time being. Once they fix skilling in al skills to the 99s first that's probably the time to start looking at this. If mining/smithing rework is successful then several overdue skills will likely come next in a similar manner to fix the rest of the triangle to keep combat balance.
