During this time of great upheaval and uncertainty in the marketplace of convoluted opinions and misconceptions its time to ask some fundamental questions about the future prospects of discontinued items. As you know there is much confusion to be correlated with this topic much debate has been deliberated and discussed, but might we all sit and reason about some critical questions that none of us have addressed in regards to this marketplace as a whole and look at it from an economical and strategical point of view and gain some much needed clarity?

I will try and endeavor to answer some of the most fundamental questions about the implications and ramifications of the ripple effect such drastic measures will have if the re-release of discontinued items goes through from an economical standpoint.

The question is drawn upon the understanding from Jagex economical point of view.
Question 1:
What will happen to the Bond market if Jagex re-release discontinued items?

Speculative answer & theory: The Customer members base is strongly correlated to players who strive to reach a long-term capitalistic driven goal (X) being discontinued items, or market status material wealth, or by possessive means of asset security obtainment, within a market base that won't replicate or lose value Player (Y) can no longer as a member keep up with the rate of inflation and cannot replicate the means to produce such high percentage gains of the duriation of the discontinued market movment they alternativly turn the Jagex and runescape bonds making the transaction safe and legal within the confindes of the game the player can gain access via microtransactions directly from jagex obtianing bonds gaining a siginficent advantage point from an economical point of view both the player member and jagex benifit from this transaction.

Critical question? Why would Jagex threaten the lively hood of there company and their member base and the perspective of more bond sales through the destruction of the only correlated market to bond sales that would intern be the discontinued market?

If they were mad enough to re-release rubber turkeys then they are mad enough to destroy their bond market member base, customers, and company, along with the economy through market destruction and radical deflation. But through bonds, and the implementation of dyes and higher level tier items the money sink has evolved to bring party hats now to an already obtainable level regardless of if they implement future discontinued items into the game, we have seen the destruction of the economy in Old school Runescape through the constant introduction of discontinued rares flooded into the economy and the member base has dropped considerably because of it, as which will result from the re-introduction of rares into the market place from a micro and macro economical point of view bonds sales will plummit as a result

But the reason for this would be and we can speculate and theorize that they are trying to stamp out real-world traders from holding discontinued items based on the gold standard that they will never be re-released, a bit like the concept of bitcoin that the original creator had only created 32million bitcoins making supply scarce and demand high for an illusory rare items or asset.

Jagex re-introduces rares
All rares become worthless; alot of players have money reserves invested in rares
Investments are dead so they won't be able to afford bulk bond buying
Jagex sells less gold premiere/members through bonds
Markets becomes more saturated w/ bonds
Bonds drop in price
People no longer want to pay $6 for say 10m when not long b4 they got 17m!
(Some) people buy less, others stop altogether
Less bonds less money for jagex

Jagex reintroudce rares via TH/other method
All rares slowly become worthless: a lot of players are now happy they can enjoy said items
rich people get salty because they lost bank and can no longer buy premier members or take part in promos that they would otherwise get for free with their flipping profits.
Hence requiring more players to actually spend money on the game
Jagex makes more money from gold premiers
more profits for Jagex

@above.

Almost no one does enjoy a partyhat when it is worthless,a big part of the enjoyment comes from a partyhat being expensive.
Current situation seems kinda ideal for jagex. They have this constant thread of re release without having to actually do it,which for now seems to be sufficient to push people away from heavily hoarding rares.

If you want to do something about the profits of merchants flipping hats then they can release a shard ge for hats. The profits are only this high because the market is so inefficient,as soon as everyone can leave in their buys and sells overnight there will be much more competition and the profits will be much smaller. The should do at least this but the cogs turn slow at jagex.
