Hello folks! Hawke here.

Yes...People rant about another grindfest we've all heard how "terribly inconvenient" all of these are. "Why should I work for my rewards?"

To those people I say :
MORONS!
:O

These events are what I personally like to call "background events" where the event doesn't have to take place in a special location or involve special resources and just awards prizes as you play normally each day.

AND

On top of it all you guys have made all the old rewards available(except for 2 but more on that later)
in 12k scraps total
and if you skill for only 12 days(takes about 1.5-2 hours a day) You can have all the rewards. Let's count them all shall we? all the rewards you get for 12 days "work"

NOTE : I will be assuming you have capped for 12 days and have converted the access into small boxes

New rewards

A tail
A helmet
A pet

Old rewards

Lovers medallion
Haters medallion
Cupid bow
Rosethorn wand
Broken heart (orb)
Crown of hearts
Crown of misery
Staff of adoration
Spear of despite
Aegis of devotion
Bulwark of revenge
Ardent mace (Dual wield, can generate off-hand)
Heartseeker crossbow (Dual wield, can generate off-hand)
Crown of the fallen (Has 2 different forms and a combination of the two)

Xp rewards (from 11 small boxes and 2 large boxes):

13 medium prismatic stars(yes, both boxes gave me the same stars)
10-15(i got 13)Lovestruck pendant/Heartbreak pendant( a semi-prismatic xp item )

So was that worth it? You bet it was.

My only rant here is this :

The Lovestruck pendant/Heartbreak pendant do not generate a cosmetic copy at Diango after use. I understand that they are not coded to be the old item and are basically a remake to suit the purpose of this event but I still don't get why not make them a cosmetic too.

The item is already made... why not add them as a cosmetic?

That is all folks.

A little criticism doesn't hurt but I am glad you liked it overall.

Lol. I know too many people dying to get the pendants as cosmetics but currently can't afford keepsake keys.

I real shame that those 2 items were excluded but I am still thankful for the rest of the old items =)

This is a much more in depth version of my post on the event. I love having to grind and earn my rewards. I think the smaller holidays are good times to do so. The past event rewards are nice especially considering I wasn't in Rs3 during the time of these. My only critique is having to buy keys or get really lucky in TH to get enough counter agent in regards to part one. When talking about part 2 I'd say all things considered a successful event. 8/10

P.S. I agree people are expecting too much out of the current events and are too critical. Runescape isn't the grind it used to be. Grinding once in awhile will not hurt;)

IKR? sorry I made it so loooong but I felt like venting some frustration with people being frustrated.... does that make sense?

The more in depth explanation was actually great imo. Very articulate and blunt. Rarely do I see bluntness in a positive review so it was comical:) It's nice to see others appreciate what they are given. The community here isn't very appreciative imo.

I am glad you think so. I love to rant as much as the next guy but when there is actual need for it.
