Toadsaid: Random Waresaid: I got to say that I was overjoyed when Mod Atlas (as well to all the other JMods supporting) kept the servers online for Titus Furius to complete The Legends Quest on Classic before it was shut down.
Really got me on the verge of tears when he first died trying to kill Nezikchened.
Was a really awful closing honestly.
There should have been a better send off for a game that started it all.
2001-2004 the game was iconic and it was one of the first truly modern RPGs.
For a company that can't even give their game a proper send off and completely pulls support wasn't good at all.
Host some events on there, make some game themed events with drops, do something honestly, not just an update timer and a closure.
It was handled very poorly.
At new years countries stage nice events like fireworks to usher in the new year.
Jagex to commemorate the closure of the game that started the entire game studio, from the Kitchen of the Gowers Parents, really humble beginnings, they just have a characterless countdown and no longer being able to log in.
Yeah true they didn't have anything initially planned for the closing it was nice to see what turned out at the end.
