We are almost here. The fix to Smithing and Mining. No longer do you need level 99 to make a level 50 item.

Except we still have a similar problem... one with the lack of craft-able mage armor, the crafting skill, and Range armor.

When you finally release the smithing and mining update, please work on updating crafting next. Please line up the crafting levels and wearing levels of Range armors.

Then when you finally release warding for OSRS, please release a version for Rs3 as well. Allow us to craft/skill Melee, Range, and Magic armor.

We can already craft mage melee and mage armours so warding isn't needed.

As far as I'm aware we're not able to craft T90+ mage or range armours (referencing T92 masterwork armour being introduced with the M&S overhaul) so I could see an opening to do so due to the M&S overhaul allowing us to finally do so in regards to melee armour/weapons. Although how I've no idea.. the crafting skill?

I mentioned it when I was on the beta a few days ago and Breezy basically said the reason for the M&S overhaul was because players voted for it, not that Jagex decided to do it themselves - if I remember correctly what he said or at least the gist of it.

Plus even if such a thing was done just look at the mammoth task the M&S overhaul is/was, I don't think any of us knew at the time it would be as ingrained into the game as much as it ended up being, so if the same was ever done for mage/range armours and weapons it probably wouldn't be until 2020 or later for those to be finished.

Perhaps not a new skill is needed but simply another skill overhaul is all that would be needed although in writing it sounds simple, whereas the reality will likely be the complete opposite.

Please read the post.

Smithing is being fixed since you can only craft level 50 armor with a level 99 skill.

Crafting is also in the same situation that Smithing is, just not AS bad. You can craft level level 65 armor with a 93 skill.

You can't craft any decent Magic armor, so don't say you can. Crafting magic armor stops at level 30. Then you can randomly craft it again at level 93... on a different skill.

Having it fleshed out and actually standardized like melee armor from the smithing update would be a good thing. It might not need to be through a new skill, but needs to be done in general.

You can make tetsu seasinger and death lotus from skilling which is t85 armour. You can make sirenic and death lotus from crafting which is t90. You can look in skillguides if you don't believe me. You can also make tectonic from energies which is skilling.

No, put all magic crafting into Runecrafting.

I agree with this. I would also prefer they added components/materials for the armour, to GoP, as it one of the most appropriate sources, and the one in most need of reward updates (or exclusive rewards, at all, for that matter).

---

You've also missed out the Fremennik armours, which are craftable (on top of those pointed out by Delta), and splitbark (as well as a few niche sets, like Necromancers').

Going to an NPC and asking "Hey can you make this" isn't the same as crafting it yourself. That includes Necromancer, Splitbark, and the Fremennik sets. Smithing/melee doesn't need to do this for 90% of it's armors and Range doesn't either.

Also note in my second post I pointed out the HUGE GAP in crafting with magic armor and even said it stops after level 30, then it restarts at 80+ but also uses a different skill.

I also said this " It might not need to be through a new skill, but needs to be done in general."

Because it doesn't need to be done through warding but SHOULD be done in general. Even if it's through runecrafting or just regular crafting, Magic armor (and Range armor) should be brought into line with the Melee armor.
