Welcome to
Teaching RS
(TRS)

Our Mission

Teaching RS (TRS) was created with the main aim of helping people gain a better understanding of the basic mechanics of all the bosses, enhancing their PvM experience. Ultimately creating a friendly and relaxed environment which allows us to share advice and tips.

We hope that TRS will become a hub for people to pop in and join if they are looking for bossing teams, bossing partners for duo’s, co-op slayer, dung, and other activities. We encourage people who have advice and tips they would like to share to do so with the FC to help others improve their game. Alternatively, if you are experienced in any boss(es) and have the time and patience to help teach we would love to see you as part of the TRS staff.

MERRY
CHRISTMAS
AND
HAPPY
NEW YEAR <3

With Christmas approaching, TRS thought it would be nice to get into the Christmas Spirit and have some fun with
“Secret Santa”
.

Last year TRS ran Secret Santa for the 2nd year. Secret Santa was an overwhelming success and saw people come together and enjoy the festive spirit.

In Secret Santa, you get to buy a secret Christmas gift for one of the other TRS members and in return receive a Christmas gift yourself.

How it works:

Anyone who is up for some Christmas fun and would like to take part just needs to let one of the generals know or leave me a Discord message. Your name will be logged onto a spreadsheet, once we have enough people you will be randomly given a RSN of a TRS member who you should buy a Christmas gift for and in return your RSN will be given to someone to buy you a gift for.

It is an anonymous event so no one will know who is buying for whom other than R1ngleader1.

You will have 2 weeks to buy or resource a gift for your chosen person and then trade that to R1ngleader1 who will log it on a spreadsheet. Once all the gifts are in we will all meet at a chosen point and time convenient to all, and R1ngleader1 will hand out all the gifts to the people (of course not telling anyone who bought what for who).

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the main aim of this FC?

To help people gain a better understanding of the basic mechanics of all the bosses- enhancing their PvM experience, as well as teaching people roles other than dps. Allowing us to share advice and tips in a fun and relaxed environment.

How do I join TRS

Everyone is welcome to join TRS with or without an add (smiley rank), However if you would like an add please complete the TRS Application Form (see page 2 for application form) and be active within the FC.

How often can I go bossing with the FC?

There are no set times for bossing events. But whenever someone is hosting they will always call in the FC the number of people needed to make up their group and which boss they are planning on going to. If you are interested you can ask for an invite to the group. Invites are given out at the discretion of the host.

How big are the teams?

We host all team sizes of group bossing. It is left to the discretion of the host to say what size team they are hosting.

What KC do I need to start bossing with TRS?

No KC or previous experience is required to join most bossing event with TRS, however at times hosts will ask in FC for people to quick chat their kill count, this is so that we can ensure that teams are well balanced to ensure a smooth kill. We will however, always try to where we can (depending on the boss), to included up to 3 new or low kill count players who wish to learn.

Frequently Asked Questions (continued)

How do big drops get split?

If using the CS/LS system please give all shards to a Lieutenant FC rank in the group to split, if no high rank in team, please pm a high rank in the FC to help hold and split large drops.

Who can host events?

We welcome everyone who feels comfortable and has some level of idea on the boss and how the mechanics work to host. They do not need to have Discord but should not take learners or low kc people without being able to call on Discord. Please use the grouping system and turn on coinshare/ lootshare (the host of the group should toggle LS/CS on for everyone).

Do I have to stay in the FC when bossing?

No! TRS is a hub for people to find teams or partners, and on occasions you may be asked to join another FC and not use the grouping system (which we do not recommend). TRS will not take any responsibility for any loot lost due to the grouping system not being use either in or out of the FC.

How do i get a rank up?

Be active in the FC, and meet the ranking requirements (see rank section below). Asking to be ranked up will not help you be ranked up and instead it will cause you to be held at your current rank for longer.

Why does TRS use Discord?

We believe Discord is a great aid in helping us teach and make calls throughout a kill. Trying to make calls via in-game typing isn't always effective or efficient. We ask that people who are new and want to learn certain bosses such as Raids or Vorago download Discord as the host of the kill can refuse to take people who do not have Discord for these bosses, You don't need a mic nor do you need to talk, we just ask that you are able to listen into calls.

Invites to groups

The
host will always call in the FC
the
number of people needed
to make up their group and which
boss they are planning on going to
. If you are interested you can ask for an invite to the group. Invites are given out at the discretion of the host.

We are a teaching FC and therefore
welcome people with 0 or low KC to join any bossing event
, however on occasions the host will ask in the FC for your KC for a particular boss, this is so they can get an idea of your level of experience and keep their team balanced.

All host will
first invite
the people who are
regularly seen or sit in the FC
to any bossing event. Only if there is space left within the group will invites be sent to new people who have joined the FC.
You can increase your chances of getting an invite by sitting and joining the FC on a regular basis.

This is to ensure that we are fair to our regular FC people and to ensure that those people who join the FC for just 1 kill with no desire to learn the boss do not queue jump.

If you’re interested in learning a new boss or a new role, before asking for an invite please ensure you join our Discord server -
https://discord.gg/K5mYaGy
(no mic is needed nor do you need to talk, you only need to listen in to calls) also make sure you have the relevant gear required as listed below.
