Just checking about and gauging interest in am idea that hit me like a crobar this past double xp weekend.

As some of you know, I did some Dungeoneering. As some of you care, I'm fixing to get a new plot rolling.

I have an Elf, Chwyn Ilaith, who before Daemonheim was taken by Bilrach went in pretty deep. Having woken with the cystal city coming back, she wants to see it again. Problem is, she got her rear end handed to her, since all these monsters spilled in now. She wants to go deeper and see what changed, but she needs help!

So, she'd put out a call for adventurers to go into Daemonheim with her.

This would be a small rp group. No more than five people per session. We'd go in, I'd clear the floor, and then GM a floor for you all to explore! Fighting all sorts of horrifying monsters!

Before I do something like this, I need to know a few things though.

Do people want to do something like this?

How deep do people want to go? (I can personally reach warped floors, but doubt everyone can.)

What do people want to find? Do they want knowledge, money, power? Or just chasing that spirit of adventure?

So, let's figure this out! I really want to give this a shot!

Is this meant for nooby adventurers or those with some or quite a bit of experience. W42 - Asgarnian Admin, 6 year Loyal Kinshra and Pie Connoisseur.
Nothing interesting happened.

No smuggling out! That stuff is tainted.

As for the sort of adventurers, depends on how deep we want to go. If it's the Frozen floors, probably noobs. If we go to the furnished floors it would be a good challenge even for hardened professionals.

I'd be doing this in a way where we do one floor per set rp'd out. Frozen, Abandoned1, and Furnished. While we could go deeper it depends on what the people involved can do difficulty wise.

I'd have a character for Furnished and maybe beyond. Another character for Occult if it would get that far. Probably Warped as well, buuuuuut low levels. The purpose of life is finding the largest burden that you can bear and then indeed bearing it.

This makes me wonder...

..if it's so tainted, why can we wear it and not suffer any ill effects? I think that it's just a Fremennik thing. Like how they think runecrafting is sinful.

A lot of the weird stuff down yonder is a side effect of the corruption. Wherein pet dogs are one man armies but giants can be slain with a poke, among other things.

Quite simply on the warping, I don’t want people leaving here with Promethium armour because "Nat allowed it." Fremennik aren't letting you take stuff out ICly, and I'm against it oocly. That said, the taint to the equipment comes from longterm exposure, which is harmless with the (relatively) short periods of time people spend in the dungeons. Much of the corruption likely started back when the place started to be built by the Dragonkin, taking until now to show its true colours.

That said, certain areas (with too much corruption in them) corrupt more than others, resulting in things like the Hope Devourer. But you aren't exactly wearing that as armour.

If a character were to make drawings of items they found to make replicas on the surface, I'd not mind. But let's leave the OP stuff inside, eh?

As for characters, I'm leaning toward most of them being around at the start and pushing down. This would be a weekly rp at a certain time for five people. Whether it's a party of four plus some visiting character or a party of five doesn't concern me, as Miss Ilaith is a medic and will keep to the rear so I can GM anyway.

I would be for it. Several of my characters are very interested in Demonheim. "I am true divinity! I am the father of nations and peoples! I am the thing you merely pretend to be! I am God, and I am King, and you can never defeat me!" ~Galath, Infinity Blade
