The Slayer asked:
Why did you ban extremes?
Old wild was about no rules or limits.
If you think "Herblore is a non-combat skill" then I think you should also ban chaotic weapons, curses, korasi's sword, most dragon weapons, ancient magicks, lunar magics and I could continue this list for a while, for requiring non-combat skills or quests which aren't combat-related.
If you think "Extremes are overpowered" then I'd like to counter this argument by saying that extremes vs rune with soaking has a LOWER max hit than supers on rune before soaking, so this really isn't true.
I'd really love to use extremes in the wilderness.
Mod Fetzki answers:
The big difference is that you cannot tell before combat whether a person can use extreme potions or not. As you say, it doesn't make any difference to the combat level if you have a high Herblore or not but it makes a big difference to the combat stats. And you can see whether the other one wields dragon weapons or the other items that you talked about but not whether they are using extreme potions or not, therefore we had to disable them. And to your comparison: EVERYTHING has soaking on it now, therefore extreme potions are still very very powerful.

Mod Slayer asked:
Gravestones & bosses.
Many bosses teams are created using the "Teamwork" forums. You often don't know the people, and if you'd die they most likely won't bless grave if they can loot your items if they won't.
Therefore I suggest doing what you were planning to do all over Gielinor EXCEPT for GWD boss rooms, GWD Zaros zone and possibly other bosses, in which it should be kept as it is right now.
Mod Fetzki answers:
Thanks for raising this, this is a good hint. We will look into a solution for this.

31O asked:
3:Why are revenants going to drop statuettes , wont PvP armour and weapons be enough?
Mod Fetzki:
Some of the questions are answered in the FAQ, so have a look at that.
We are leaving the statuettes in the drop tables because we think they are a good attraction. The economy will be much less affected by them than now, but if we think it has an effect on the economy, then we will revisit the decision.

31O asked:
Why will the items dropped in wildy be immediately seen by other players? Why not 30 seconds waiting like normaly?Pkers could drop all their food for their friend thats getting attacked!
Mod Fetzki answers:
Because we wanted to avoid the situation where a player drops his stuff just before he dies so that the attacker doesn't immediately get it. The killer should get it, right?
And if you want to drop something for your friends, then now everyone has the same chance of picking it up immediately, friend or foe. We think this is the better mechanic.

If I help my friend giving him amounts of cash and some equipments, will that be considered as RWT? Considering Jagex doesn't know if you had IRL money for the eq/cash.
Mod Fetzki answers:
We are encouraging people to give other players gifts or lend them some equipment so before we accuse someone of cheating by buying gold we make absolutely sure that we can prove it.
What our exact criteria are, I won't reveal, though, for obvious reasons.

Both your answers I have answered above but again, rest assured that we have taken the comments about the statuettes on board but please rest assured that we are monitoring the effect of the statuettes very closely and will react if they pose a problem for the prices.

Zaryte Bow asked:
On Mod Mark cc he stated "The old pjing system of 2006 is comming back"
What does that means? You will be able to interrupt people at any time of an fight? Because that'd be really not fair these days where we have Dragon Claws, Korasi swords, and a lot of other "1-Hitting" weapons. The current PJing system works quite good (10 secs out of fight to be able to interrupt, magers cant be attacked while farcasting), and i hope you're not removing it.
Mod Fetzki answers:
No, it won't go that far. We have improved the combat system so that when you eat, noone can "steal" your target, and we are keeping the system as it stands right now.
Zaryte Bow asked:
Some time ago (i think it was on the constitution update), there was a change on the vengeance spell, i dont even think jagex knows about this, but back in the old wildy if you killed someone who was venged, the spell wouldnt hit. Now if you kill that person the vengeance spell WILL hit, meaning that a lot of "double kills" (Both fighters die at the same time) happens, especially with people using Dharok's, as you need an low hp to get good hits. Could you fix this? It wasnt there on the old wildy so i think its fair if you could fix it.
Mod Fetzki:
This works now as intended. Being on low health is a risk.

In short, when the minigames are moved will the boneyard return to where it was? Or will the clan wars arena area stay there for now?
Mod Fetzki:
We boneyard is coming back! It is one of the best places for free players to train Prayer so we have decided to put this back.

Choco Chips:
What will happen to Bork and all the Chaos Tunnels, will those remain?
Mod Fetzki:
Sure they are staying!
Choco Chips:
What will be done about luring and baiting from safespots?
Mod Fetzki:
We will monitor the situation closely and see whether we see the need for action, but generally we think this is part of the Wildy gameplay.
Choco Chips:
How can you report scamming as some people would just trade and state the price they want but thereís no real way to get them saying selling white ele for 5 mil and report that.
Mod Fetzki:
The guide price will be visible in player-to-player trades so everyone should be able to judge for him/herself whether there is a scammer or not. We think it is much better to give the community the ability to prevent scamming themselves but if you have been scammed, then report this to us. We don't necessarily need the chat for deciding whether a scam occurred or not.

Alex Ydw I:
Is it true that when you're in the new wilderness, if you're attacking a Green Dragon, for example, that another player can then attack you, like a rev used to be able to do?
Mod Fetzki:
Yes, this is true. This has been implemented because in the old Wildy there was the strategy to avoid death by quickly attacking a monster an then disconnecting from the internet which we didn't like and therefore implemented this chance.
Alex Ydw I:
It said on the F.A.Q that the banker Maximillius *something, oops :P* would be removed from the wilderness. Does this mean the part he used to be would *not* be a safe spot? - And does this mean there will be no safe spots in the wilderness?
Mod Fetzki:
There will still be safe areas like the Mage Training Arena but there won't be safe spots in the middle of the Wilderness any more in which you could easily escape.
Alex Ydw I:
I noticed on the f.a.q that if you drop an item when free trade is back, it will be visible to everyone *immediately*. I'm sure it took 3-5 minutes before to become visible when you dropped something. Is there any reason for the change?
Mod Fetzki:
I have answered this above.

Dune Blythe has a multi-question about extreme potions and chaotic weapons.

Mod Fetzki:
I can only repeat what I said above: The reason is that you cannot *see* whether the other one has extreme potions or not, whereas it is very clear whether you are wielding a chaotic weapon or not. Summoning influences your combat level (on members worlds only) but Herblore doesn't, therefore we took the decision to exclude the extreme potions from the Wildy.

Will the Wilderness be returned to it's original size instead of the 60% or so it is now of what it used to be?

Mod Fetzki:
If you mean whether we are removing the large activity areas like Clan Wars and Stealing Creation, then the answer is yes as stated in the FAQ.

Do you guys ever play the game o-o ive only ever seen mod crow (randomly walking)

Mod Fetzki:
Well, we don't use our Mod accounts to play, we rather use our private accounts that's why you never see us play.

Anupsis:
Is it possible to make another set of dragons? Example:There are 3 in the wild (thank god dragon bots will be pwnt!) and 1 in the tunnels but would Jagex consider making another group spawn (not in wild but still somewhat hard to access) something like the dungeon for blue/black dragons with shortcuts (AE:Agility 85 i think it was)

Mod Fetzki:
The dragons should always be in a dangerous area, and the Wildy and the Chaos Tunnels are the best places for them we think, so we don't have any current plans to add more dragon groups.

Imah Slayer:
I have two questions.

Mod Fetzki:
I think you even have three ;)

Imah Slayer:
#1 Im not sure how to word this so im going to give you a situation. One player named "bob" gets a gift (50m) from his friend that is quiting. Another player "billy" buys 50m gold from some RWT site. How can you tell the diffrence between a bob and a billy?

Mod Fetzki:
The difference is that Bob won't get into trouble but Billy gets punished for cheating because we can tell the difference. We won't reveal how we do that though for obvious reasons.

Imah Slayer:
#2 Will you be able to host drop parties of your own? For example dropping items on the ground so players near by can pick up?

Mod Fetzki:
Yes.

Imah Slayer:
#3 When you die in the wilderness will we be able to go back to the spot we died and pick up our Torso, firecape, chaotic weapons, ect?

Mod Fetzki:
No, this won't be possible. There is no differentiation between tradeable and untradeable objects any more, all of them will be lost on death if you were skulled.

Hi Mark, I know you touched on this topic in your last Q&A, but for those wanting to know exactly I thought I'd ask this.
When a player kills another player in the wilderness, will the loot that isn't picked up by the victor appear on the ground a couple of minutes later? Will 'looting' return?

Mod Fetzki:
Yes, it will appear some time later.

Will we keep brawling gloves in inventory if we die in wildy? Because we use brawling gloves in bh(+1) worlds instead of pvp worlds to not lose it.

Mod Fetzki:
This has been answered already but just to make sure: yes, they will be deleted. Being in the Wildy brings benefits but there should also be some risk.

" Will you add any ďsafeĒ worlds for non-pkers to use without fear of being killed?
-> No. Itís the wilderness, itís not meant to be safe. "

Will you mind if I use that quote as argument against pseudo-PKers and fanboys who believe that it is "unfair" to PJ, or attacking someone before asking to fight, or before they got the time to drink pots ?

Mod Fetzki:
What arguments you use is up to you but we are convinced there is space for both so-called "honourable" PKers and pile-jumpers in the game.

Can graves be changed so that you may only loot them once the grave has been blessed for the full hour?

Mod Fetzki:
We are still discussing this at the moment but I don't think this will be a likely solution because one hour is an awful long time, even when in boss fights.

9 asked:
Will you be able to run back to your death spot to pick up items such as god books on death? These are so commonly used to pk with, getting a new one each death seems unnecisarry. The previous information posted clarified from the killers perspective, what about from the viewpoint of those who die?

Mod Fetzki:
As said above, all untradeable items will be lost for the player dying. It was deemed unfair that some of the best items for fighting like prayer books or fire capes were not transferred on death.

Where would you move the dragons and the other profitable monsters located within the wilderness? Will it be as easy to make money off them once you move them like closer banks?

Mod Fetzki:
I am not sure why you think we would move them from the Wilderness - we leave them there and the money from them will stay the same but there is of course the risk of being attacked.

Does the keep 3 items on death rule still apply in the wilderness? If not, then doesn't this not make it the old Wilderness?

Mod Fetzki (who is still a bit confused by the triple negative in the second sentence):
The 3-item rule still applies. If you don't attack anyone in the Wilderness and therefore are not skulled, then you will keep hold of your three most expensive items on death.

Whose idea was it at Jagex to bring back the Free trade/Wilderness?

We always wanted to bring it back when it was safe for the game, and it wasn't unless this year that we were confident that we could take on the battle against real-world traders and cheaters.

Sunset PKing:
First question - Will you keep the anti-PJ system in place?

Mod Fetzki:
Correct, we won't change the system as it is now.

Sunset PKing:
Second question - Will you be returning shops back to 'normal'?

Mod Fetzki:
Before the Wilderness was removed, the shops had limited stocks and everyone was competing for the popular items. The system now is better than that because every player has got some stock.

Sunset PKing:
Third question - Why will revenents still drop statues? All it does in cause inflation, making it harder for newer players to enjoy the game.

Mod Fetzki:
As said above, the effect will not be great because the number dropping will be much lower than currently. But we are monitoring the situation closely and if it poses a problem then it is easy for us to react to it.

Sunset PKing:
Fourth question - Do you like waffles? <--- Most important question!

Mod Fetzki:
I just asked Mod Mark and he said "yes, especially while PKing in the Wilderness."

I read through the Q&A and have a question about quest areas. How are you supposed to get to these PvP safe areas in full armour and food when there is a wildy full of people ready to kill you and take your stuff before you even reach the questing area?

Mod Fetzki:
The quest start will not be deep in the Wilderness. The Summer quest start has been moved to outside the Wildy. During the quests, you will not be forced to go through the Wildy in full armour or anything like that.

You have said PvP mechanics will be returned as they were in the wilderness.
Are you therefore returning the ability for multiple persons in a single area to pile a person in a nearby multicombat zone? it is an essential mechanic for pking around the runerocks area! It was never removed from the FFA clan wars portals so its clearly not a bug? Its critical to runerocks tactics, a smaller team can take on a larger team using tactics not sheer brute force.

Mod Fetzki:
We are not changing the mechanic, so yes, you will be able to do that.

You have said 'popular pvp items' will not be lost and you will be able to run back for them.
I would just like confirmation that this does include the fighter torso, firecape and defenders. If it doesnt it needs to!

Mod Fetzki:
We have NOT said that, it is incorrect. All untradeable items will be lost on death (if you were skulled) and we are convinced it makes the better system rather than leaving the winner go with empty hands because they were fighting someone with only untradeable items.
