Ye.. maybe u don't understand the suggestion... maybe ya need more supporters to explore the idea...

Y'all preach a lot of tolerance ... But y'all can shut down an idea in no time.

People wishing to state their disagreement for an idea does not impede any constructive discussion. This is not an either-or situation, and I am of the opinion that disallowing negative feedback would be the wrong approach.

Instead you should actively engage with the opposition as much as you do with those who support your idea, and make changes where necessary to try and quell the likely legitimate arguments they may have.

Essentially when pitching an idea, don't treat it as a popularity contest, do listen to people and be objective.

That's really a subjective point. In the eyes of many, if that person is being disruptive and you simply choose to ignore them, you'll end up looking mature and they'll look petty if they try to engage.

I don't want to have the debate.

I don't want supporters of an idea few as there may be, reading pages of around and around off topic sideways questions about nothing and then not adding their thoughts.

It doesn't work to ignore them either.. Ya can type a whole new thing and post it and then boom, first post again, same person saying no support for the 5th time... say something new why don't ya?
Skillet? Skill no.

So much moot.

If you find someone so stubborn, the best option is simply not to engage. Yes it's good to talk to people on all sides, but there'll always be situations where there's no value in the attempt, and you should simply move on.

(This discussion seems targeted to a specific/a set of specific interactions, and does not appear to be an objective suggestion to improve the forums, from my point of view)

Quoting only the useful parts. Removed the unnecessary flaming post by the thread author.

Support.....

Naaa just joking. No Support.

I get where you are coming from with people just posting " No Support " they need to say why or give a valid reason. Just posting " No Support " as some do for me personally is a waste of a post when it could have been used in a constructive manner.

Nothing worse seeing a " No Support " post and nothing else. It holds nothing for counter discussion.

We need more positive feed back and yes it should be enforced by forum rules and "no support" posts should be hidden.

So if all no support messages are being hidden we get censor on the forums because we aren't allowed to disallow an idea... am I right?

I don't have a signature, but wanted to have some content here.
