I'm unsure whether you are aware of this, or how much of it is intentional, during the transition period, but threads are not always showing up in peoples' profiles, when they post.
This has always been an issue when creating threads (which don't always show up, if you only make the original post, and no additional posts - yet sometimes do), but it appears to be more prevalent, at the moment, and not restricted to threads created by the profile's owner.
I asked for that, a couple of times, before, but both times they said they didn't want their image to be tainted by the perception that the game had problems..
I think that it is more positive to be seen to be dealing with problems, and to have an easy way to access help. It's yet more positive that you have a community that is willing to provide help for other players, and that you enable this, and give tools to those who are helping out.
Hopefully their stance will have changed.
Previously, I was asking for them to be made visible to new users, whenever they loaded the Forums (given that there were more sections, back then, and new users wouldn't see any of the specialist Forums, it wouldn't have had to be the very top section, in order to be visible - but given the clumped sections they've opted for, atm, it would..).

Agreed - like I said, I hope they reconsider, this time.
That said, I do agree that being at the bottom would make them easier to find that in the middle (I made the same point about OSRS sections), so that could be an option, but only if there's something at the top which indicates they're there, or links to them.
One of the times I asked, was during the planning and lifetime of the "Newcommer" section, during one of its brief occurrences, the other was a while before that, so there has been a span of time since they last gave a reply to the idea - at least, a reply that I've seen.
