I wonder if someone with access to information can answer this. I don't expect a JMod of course since they don't really 'do' the RSOF any more. But possibly an FMod in the know.

At one time the FMR used to be reviewed weekly. This fell apart when Jagex allowed the most active RSOF JMods to move to new positions at the same time.

We were told things would get back to normal once new staff had settled in. Well, it's been a while now, hasn't it? And the FMR thread is only being reviewed once a month (maybe).

So, does this mean that FMR is effectively abandoned or that it is deliberately only being checked once a month now? (Rather too long a time lag if that's actually the case imo).

Or possibly this lack of caretaking is a precursor to the thread being closed down for good?

In any event, it seems ludicrous that FMods are advising posters to go to FMR if they have an issue, only for these posts to be ignored. Not much point in going there really, is there.

Back to the original question: does anyone have any relevant information on the status of FMR?

Afaik Mod Meadows is in charge of the FMR now. The LMods are supposed to be trained and then deployed, thus taking over this part?

A similar thread was created (and closed) some time ago: 278-279-925-65977417

Yes, I'm aware of that thread. The author requested it be closed as it had gone very much off topic.

Meadows is active in Reddit, but not here. Idk what the LMods are supposed to do.

Archaeox - Does this constitute "timely" review? ;) I've moved the thread in question though!

This is the last response I saw on FMR. (Feb. 2)
I'm assuming something of a similar nature was mentioned.

The above response was after a lengthy time period,
not possibly addressing all the inquiries.

Indeed, Mary. :)

And given the lack of any information forthcoming from Jagex on the future status of FMR (none that I am aware of in any case) and the absence of any posts by a JMod on it for some time - this is why I am wondering if it is actually worth going to that thread any more/is it being closed/replaced with something else/etc.

This is as bad as the period of anarchy in 2013, when Jmods were completely absent from the forums and Fmods could do whatever they wanted with impunity (the only recourse was the Highlight option which didn't work; I saw a post with an external link that went unhidden for days). whoever is humming the jaws theme is gonna get slapped

Forumers have been accustomed to a pattern of
forth-rightness over a period of years...
"Timely reviews" were the norm.

Understandable...the confusion/query.

Caviar was off. Forum team temporarily out of order. Recovering with Reddit cookies. Will be back soon (TM).

Seriously though, we've asked about this some days ago and it seems like they haven't noticed our questions yet. The tummyache must be real.

Let me reconstruct what I read in several threads:

- JMods are present on their ch00b account
- JMods do not need to reply to FMR, if they think everything was OK. We just got used to MattHe.
- FMods are old meat, meaning they know their handling

So if I understand it right, JMods are monitoring the forums, but aren't willing to respond, since at work they use their JMod accounts for work things and when they are off-work they cannot access their JMod accounts and tweet or reddit to us.

Is there any real reason why we should be alarmed or worried? And afaik the LMods are the outsource of the CM. Looking at their time stamps they seem to be based in the American timezone. So in other words the JMods are the build a bears and the CM Purple are the ones that deal with customer support.

I did notice a lot of green from names that haven't been posting 'on the surface' before. I assume that it was an order from 'the hive'? Such a shame I had a FM once state that they aren't allowed to be as free as they wanted, seems like this restriction has been waived temporarily. Or the FM are loose guns, which I don't (want to) believe.

Hmmmmmmmm
